Female artists Charli XCX and Dua Lipa will go head to head in the battle for best British artist at tonight’s BRIT Awards.

Singer Charli XCX leads the field with five nominations including the top prize, while Dua Lipa has been shortlisted for four honours.

The star-studded ceremony hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall takes place at London’s O2 Arena with live performances from Ezra Collective and Jorja Smith.

Sam Fender takes home the award for Alternative Rock Act

Voted for by the fans, Sam Fender was announced as the winner for Alternative Rock Act for a second time.

It marks his third BRIT after winnng the Rising Star Award (previously Critics’ Choice Award) in 2019 and Alternative Rock Act in 2022.

After scooping his award, he joked: ‘As you can tell I’m a little bit nervous, I’m nowhere near as drunk as last time.’

Former Little Mix star Jade Thirlwall has won her first ever solo award.

Olivia Attwood makes a cheeky joke about Pete Wicks 'cheating'

Olivia Attwood wowed in a sheer lingerie-inspired gown as she made reference to the Pete Wicks ‘cheating’ in a cheeky quip on the red carpet.

Earlier this year it was claimed Pete's infidelity ended his relationship with Maura Higgins, but he made light of the situation during an interview with .

Speaking about his best friend Sam Thompson, Pete told : ‘It’s hard for Sam tonight because I’ve got a new work wife. But, he’s not far away, he’s over there actually.’

He added: ‘It is a little bit weird because it feels like I am…’

‘Cheating?’ Olivia interrupted as they both broke out into fits of laughter, before she added: ‘Not the first time, I might add.’

‘Because… I have never done that,’ Pete said.

Maura Higgins turns heads in a completely sheer gown

Maura Higgins ensured all eyes were on her on Saturday night as she donned one of her raciest looks yet to the BRIT Awards 2025 at the O2 Arena, while her ex Pete Wicks attended with Olivia Attwood as his date.

The Love Island star, 34, arrived on the red carpet in a completely sheer black gown that left her sensational figure on full display and boasted black pipe detailing to accentuate her curves.

While she avoided an awkward run-in on the red carpet with her ex-boyfriend Pete, 37, who she split from last month, suggesting the Strictly Come Dancing star had cheated on her.

After revealed their romance was over on Valentine’s Day, Maura lashed out by claiming Pete was ‘probably cheating’ when asked where he was as she celebrated her single status at London hotspot Sheesh.

However, a source told that Pete did not cheat on Maura, despite her claims that she called it quits over his behaviour.

Myles Smith to take home the prestigious Rising Star Award

The BRIT Awards announced that Myles Smith will be taking home the prestigious Rising Star Award this year.

The singer, 26, who was pictured with the Award designed by Gabriel Moses, said winning the Award is ‘such a surreal moment’ for him.

He said: ‘Winning the BRIT award for Rising Star is such a surreal moment. Music has always been about connecting with people, and to see it resonate on this level is incredible.’

‘I’m so grateful to my team, my family, and especially the fans who’ve supported me every step of the way.’

‘Your belief in me means everything. This is just the beginning, and I’m so excited for what’s to come—thank you for being part of this journey.’

Davina McCall gives health update as she returns to the red carpet after having brain tumour removed

Speaking to at the star-studded event, the TV personality, 57, gave a health update and poked fun at her risqué ensemble.

Lifting the lid on what inspired her daring look, Davina joked: ‘I just thought, how disgraceful can I look? I’m growing old disgracefully.

‘I thought what should I do? And I thought go see-through.’

Giving an update on her health after having a brain tumour removed in November, the TV star was glowing as she added: ‘I’m feeling amazing. Brace yourselves, I’m back.’

Who is presenting the ceremony?

The 2025 BRIT Awards ceremony is hosted by comedian Jack Whitehall, marking his fifth time at the helm of the event, after having previously presented the show in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.

After hosting the livestream revealing this year’s nominees, radio and TV presenter Sian Welby will be joined Capital Xtra broadcaster and cultural commentator Zeze Millz for Live From The Red Carpet.

The livestream will be the first place to see all the action from the star-studded red carpet, as nominees, performers, presenters and more arrive for the big night and will broadcast from 5.30pm on the BRITs’ official Instagram and Facebook.

Sabrina Carpenter led the glamorous arrivals at the star-studded 2025 BRIT Awards at London’s O2 Arena on Saturday.

The singer pulled out all the stops as she dressed in her signature pink tones as she hopes to take home International Artist Of The Year and International Song Of The Year at the 2025 event.

The Espresso hitmaker, 25, took the world by storm in 2024 as she spent 21 weeks at the top of the singles chart, earned a whopping six Grammy nominations, and released her latest album Short n Sweet.
