A woman had died after a bus mounted the kerb and crushed her during peak hour in Brisbane’s CBD.
Emergency services were called to Edward Street at 5pm on Friday to attend the crash which has killed a woman in her 20s and injured nine more.
Queensland Fire and Rescue said that officers arrived to find the woman pinned between the bus and a building as pedestrians watched on.
It is understood that the bus lost control before crashing into a light pole and mounting the kerb near the intersection of Adelaide Street.
Police officers and Paramedics are also attending the scene but despite their efforts to free the woman she died at the scene.

Traffic is being diverted and drivers have been urged to avoid the area
Paramedics treated nine people from aboard the bus including the driver and three were taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital and another two to Mater Hospital.
Firefighters are still assisting police on the scene and traffic is currently being diverted while drivers have been urged to avoid the area.
