The insane moment a car went completely airborne before crashing into a South Carolina business was captured on dramatic security video.

Erik Peterson, one of the owners of the neighboring storefront, received an alert on his phone that alarms were going off in his family’s Simpsonville jewelry shop around 2am Saturday night – prompting him to drive down and check it out.

But when he got to his store, he never could have expected the sight he was met with – an up-side down car lodged into the State Farm office right next door.

‘Brick exploded everywhere, along the sidewalk, big chunks on concrete, parts of the roof had fallen out, pretty significant damage,’ Peterson told WSPA.

His outdoor security cameras luckily provided the answers.

The unbelievable footage captured a car quickly driving up to the area of the shop before it abruptly hit the curb – sending it flying through the air before colliding with the building next door.

Glass can be heard shattering from the impact as debris and dust particles filled up the walk way and parts of the parking lot.

Moments later, the video captured the sound of someone rummaging through the damage before a man in a white hoodie emerged from the rubble and booked it – leaving thousands of dollars worth of damage at the hands of the owners.

Simpsonville police said they received a call about a suspicious white Acura – the same car in the footage – shortly before the accident, but they are still on the hunt for the suspect, WYFF4 reported.

‘We are looking for the public’s help on this one because two businesses got seriously affected by this individual’s behavior,’ Peterson added. ‘He just takes off on foot, doesn’t hold himself responsible, no accountability.’
