A 14-year-old boy has been arrested after allegedly killing his parents and trying and failing to murder his little sister.
Se Vang and her husband Lue Yang, both 37, were found dead in their isolated rural home in Fresno County, California, on Wednesday night.
The boy allegedly tried to kill his 11-year-old sister but she is expected to recover from her injuries. Another brother, aged 7, was also home but wasn’t injured.
He called 911 and claimed an intruder broke into the home, killed his parents, and attacked his sister before fleeing in a pickup truck, police said.
Fresno County Sheriff John Zanoni said deputies arrived at the scene on the 4700 block of Dunlap Road, near Miramonte, about 7.40pm.

They found the bodies of the parents and the critically injured girl, who was rushed to hospital, and spoke with the teenager.
Deputies found inconsistencies in the boy’s story of a murderous intruder and formed the view he allegedly made it up to cover his tracks.
He used multiple weapons to murder his parents and attempt to kill his sister, Zanoni alleged.
The boy was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one of attempted murder. He will not be named because he is a minor.
A motive for the alleged attacks is not yet known.
