 A 12-year-old boy in Kent has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old girl. 

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested by Kent Police yesterday. 

On Friday afternoon police were called to Adelaide Drive in Sittingbourne following reports a teenage girl had been stabbed. 

An air ambulance was called to the house to assisted police and paramedics with the girl who was then taken to a hospital in London.

The boy is due to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court tomorrow.

The investigation is ongoing and Kent Police are urging anyone with information or cctv footage of the assault to come forward.
