An 11-year-old boy has tragically died after falling off a train while subway surfing in Brooklyn.

The child, who has yet to be identified to the public, lost his life while surfing on the roof of a G train in Park Slope on Monday.

The dangerous trend has already claimed the lives of three others this year alone.

According to the FDNY, the horrific incident occurred near 4th Avenue 9th-Street station around 10.15am.

Witnesses told the NYPD the boy fell off the top of the train and onto the tracks below.

Service for the F and G train was disrupted while the NYPD conducted an investigation at the Brooklyn station.

‘I hope that other kids that think about this think twice,’ Brian, a Brooklyn resident, told PIX 11.

Following the most recent death, Mayor Eric Adams took to X to pay his respects.

‘It is heartbreaking to hear another life cut short due to subway surfing. Sending my prayers to the family of this young New Yorker.

‘We will continue to do everything we can to discourage this dangerous activity, but we need everyone to join our efforts. Through our #RideInsideStayAlive campaign, we’re going to continue working to keep our kids safe,’ Adams said.

Last year the MTA launched a campaign, ‘Ride inside, stay alive,’ warning against the dangers of subway surfing after many children were either injured or killed.

This is the fourth subway surfer death in 2024 and the youngest victim to lose their life from the daredevil act.

‘Let’s say he was [subway] surfing. He wouldn’t have gone alone. If he had friends with him, they didn’t stay. They didn’t stick around after he fell,’ DeCruz said.

His grandfather added that his grandson also suffered two broken legs.

According to cops, it is unclear if Bhagwandeen died after being hit by another train or after falling onto the tracks.

A GoFundMe page was launched to raise money for his memorial service following his sudden death.

His heartbroken half-brother later revealed that the teenager followed multiple accounts that posted pictures and videos of subway surfing around the city.

‘Now that you go to his social media, you see who he’s following, who’s his friends,’ Diego Tinoco, told Daily News.

‘You see the videos people post of subway surfing, you realize now it’s too late.

‘He was a nice kid, he had a lot of friends, he just hung out in the wrong circle.’

Tinoco said his brother ditched class at Landmark High School in Chelsea and went subway surfing with a friend that day.

The friend continued on to the next stop after Reyes fell at the elevated Avenue N station in Midwood above McDonald Avenue.
