A married PE teacher who allegedly sexually abused a male student has been slapped with six fresh charges relating to another teenage boy.

Tayla Brailey, 30, was arrested last week after allegedly assaulting a 17-year-old boy she taught at Lurnea High School, in Sydney’s south west, multiple times throughout July.

She was charged with three charges – sexual touching, sexual intercourse with a person under care, and aggravated sexual assault – and faced Liverpool Local Court last week, where she was granted bail.

Now, police have charged Brailey with new alleged offences in relation to a second student, including having sexual intercourse with a teen under her care, and sexually touching a teen under her care.

The fresh charges also include inciting a teen under her care to sexually touch her, and soliciting, accessing and possessing or controlling child abuse material.

The second alleged victim is aged between 16 and 17 years old.

‘About 7am this morning, detectives attended a house in Mangerton and arrested a 30-year-old woman,’ NSW Police said in a statement on Friday.

‘She was taken to Wollongong Police Station and charged with six additional charges.’

Brailey’s latest matter was heard before Wollongong Local Court on Friday, where police initially refused her bail before it was granted again by the magistrate.

The same strict bail conditions imposed last week remain in place, which require Brailey to reside with her parents and only leave home if she is accompanied by one of them.

Under the conditions she is also bound by a nighttime curfew, has to surrender her passport, and must report to police three times a week.

She is also barred from accessing social media, entering Lurnea, contacting her alleged victims or any prosecution witnesses, being on any educational facility, or being in the presence of a minor unless the child is in the company of a parent or guardian.

Police will allege Brailey, who only married 11 months ago, began speaking to the first boy after he added her on Snapchat, before the pair began exchanging sexually explicit videos.

According to documents referenced in court last week, police will allege a friend who accompanied her first alleged victim to her home in mid-July walked in at one stage while she was performing a sex act on him.

Police will also allege she had sex with the first boy in a car after he wagged school to meet her before she went to a pharmacy to get the morning-after pill.

According to the documents, police will allege she became ‘hysterical’ and made admissions to officers when they confronted her at the school last week with the allegations.

The school has confirmed she been suspended without pay and support is being provided to staff and students at the school.

Brailey completed a bachelor’s degree in Physical and Health Education at the University of Wollongong in 2017 before picking up a teaching job in October that year.

The 30-year-old became engaged to her partner in December, 2021 and tied the knot in September last year.

She celebrated her Hens party in Bali with friends and family, enjoying time at the popular Finns Beach Club, with several snaps shared to social media.

She also appeared on Channel Seven’s quiz show The 1% Club earlier this year.

Her matters are next due before Campbelltown Local Court on October 2.
