Heroic shoppers forced a man to drop his weapon after he stabbed 11 people inside a Walmart in Michigan on Saturday afternoon.

The extraordinary moment four men confronted the deranged suspect in the parking lot of the Traverse City supermarket was caught on camera.

During the urgency of the situation, one of the brave men lost his shoes and was walking barefoot as he ordered the knife-wielding man to drop his weapon.

‘Get on the ground!” one of the men could be heard shouting.

‘Drop the knife! Drop it!’ another bellowed.

‘Throw the knife that way! Throw it away!’ the barefoot man continued to yell.

Eleven people were stabbed during the bloody incident – with police saying that it appeared to be a random attack.

Around 4:45pm, a 42-year-old man entered the store and used a folding knife to stab people, the Grand Traverse County Sheriff’s Office said.
