Fears are growing that a member of K-pop’s biggest girl group is being blacklisted in China over a raunchy performance in Paris.

BLACKPINK singer Lisa, real name Lalisa Manobal, has had her account suspended on China’s biggest social media site Weibo.

The suspension follows growing backlash in parts of Asia against Lisa for performing a burlesque show at the famed Parisian cabaret venue Crazy Horse.

The performance saw the 26-year-old pop star dressed in lingerie and revealing outfits as she danced on stage to various tunes.

While there was no nudity, the provocative nature of the revue combined with Crazy Horse’s racy reputation sparked outrage across Asia, where Lisa is a top star.

Weibo hasn’t given an official reason for suspending Lisa’s account outside of a message stating, ‘This account can no longer be viewed due to reports of violations of laws, regulations, and Weibo community agreement’.

On top of that, the official Weibo accounts for luxury brands Celine and Bvlgari, which Lisa is a celebrity ambassador for, have removed all of the star’s images from their accounts.

Meanwhile, popular Chinese model and actress Angelababy is also suffering in the aftermath of the scandalous performance.

The A-lister, 34, has had her Weibo and Douyin (Chinese TikTok) accounts suspended following speculation that she attended one of Lisa’s performances.

In early October, Crazy Horse officially denied that Angelababy was in attendance, but this hasn’t quelled the furore in China.

According to Allkpop, ‘The China Performing Arts Association has mentioned that the promotion of indecent and lewd performances are categorically prohibited in the country.’

This has caused many to speculate that Lisa’s Crazy Horse performance has led to retaliation against both her and Angelababy, although this has not been officially confirmed as the reason for their suspensions.

Following her performance in September, Lisa took to social media to gush about the ‘amazing experience’ to her 98million followers.

‘Such an amazing experience at @crazyhorseparis_official. Thank you everyone for making this happen. Call me whenever you need someone to fill a spot.’

The limited space could only accommodate a small number of fans, leaving the rest to have to peep the event via photos shared online.

Meanwhile, popular Chinese model and actress Angelababy (pictured) has been banned from Weibo and Douyin following claims that she attended Lisa’s performance

Among those able to snag seats were Lisa’s BLACKPINK group mates and stars including Rosalía, Kaia Gerber, and Austin Butler.

Crazy Horse is known for nudity and a no-filming policy, although TMZ reported that Lisa did not strip down to nothing.

Lisa is currently rumoured to be dating billionaire LVMH heir Frederic Arnault.

Frederic, 28, is the son of the richest man in the world, Bernard Arnault. The patriarch is the chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, and he and his family are worth about $212 billion, according to Forbes.
