Big Brother winner Mike ‘Boogie’ Malin has been arrested for the second time in three months, amid his years-long fall from grace.

In late January of this year, he was arrested and accused of attempting to shoplift from two CVS locations in Los Angeles’ San Fernando Valley.

Now, he has been taken into custody again, this time for allegedly violating a restraining order taken out against him by former Big Brother castmate Dr. Will Kirby.

Dr. Will Kirby, an aesthetic dermatologist, was friends with Malin during their time on Big Brother together, but their relations later soured.

In 2019, Kirby obtained a restraining order against Malin, who ultimately pleaded no contest to charges of stalking his ex-co-star.

Now, Malin stands accused of contravening the order by directly communicating with Kirby’s wife, leading to his latest arrest, TMZ reports.

Malin reportedly failed to appear in court over the matter, and a bench warrant was then issued, culminating in his being jailed this past Friday with bail set at $20,000.

‘Protective orders exist for a reason, and no one is above the law,’ said Kirby’s lawyer Sam Ahmadpour. ‘We expect full accountability for this violation.’

Malin first appeared on Big Brother US for its second season in 2001, then won its seventh season in 2006 and returned for season 14 in 2012.

He and Kirby were noted for their friendship on seasons two and seven, spearheading the famous ‘Chilltown’ alliance between a number of contestants.

Apparently, the problems between them started when Malin and Kirby were offered a chance to appear on a different reality show together.

Kirby turned down the job, which meant that Malin’s offer was also effectively rescinded – evidently causing relations between them to deteriorate.

Malin was accused of sending threats to Kirby and his family, and in 2019, Kirby successfully obtained a restraining order against Malin.

He then secured another 10-year restraining order that barred Malin from coming near Kirby, his family or any of his clinics.

In 2021, Malin pled no contest to charges of stalking and was ordered to pay Kirby $23,219 with interest, in addition to which he was given three days of jail time, two years of probation and 30 days in residential treatment.

He was also slapped with 160 hours of community service and a requirement that he provide his DNA for a database, among other penalties.

The following year, Malin’s probation was revoked and a warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court for a hearing related to the stalking case.

He has also faced other legal troubles, including a 2020 arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence in Las Vegas and this January’s shoplifting arrest.
