New York Mets star Pete Alonso and wife Haley Alonso are expecting parents for the first time.
In a joint announcement, Haley revealed her pregnancy in a roll of photos taken with Pete.
The first photo shows a roll of sonogram photos of the child’s baby, while Pete stands behind her and kisses her on the cheek.
The Alonso’s announced the pregnancy a day after Pete hit a first-inning home run for the Mets, his third of the season, in the team’s first home game of the year.
New York defeated Toronto 5-0, with the teams also squaring off tonight at Citi Field.
‘Baby Alonso 2025,’ the Instagram post was captioned. ‘We can’t wait for this next chapter of becoming mom and dad.’

Haley’s exact due date has not been revealed, nor has the gender of the couple’s baby.
Fellow Mets WAG Katia Lindor, wife of shortstop Francisco Lindor commented on the post, ‘So happy for you guys.’
Pete and Haley first met in 2015 when he was playing in the Cape Cod League and was a star at Florida before his Major League career.
The couple got engaged in 2018 and married in 2021, before this next stage of their relationship.
Alonso is one of the Mets’ most popular players, having been with the organization since the start of his professional career in 2019.
