Shocking footage has captured the moment a wild brawl erupted at a junior rugby league match in Sydney.
During Saturday’s under-13 division 1 semi-final match between the Bankstown Balls and Cabramatta, opposing spectators invaded the pitch and became involved in an on-field fight.
According to reports, a 36-year-old man was knocked to the ground and had his head stomped on by a 39-year-old.
Police have launched an investigation and have called on anyone with footage of the fight to contact Bankstown Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
It comes a week after a teenager was charged with assault after he allegedly punched a player from another team in the face at an under-17s match in Glenbrook.
The alleged incident took place during a match between Blue Mountains FC and Emu Plains FC at Glenbrook.
The 17-year-old player from Blue Mountains FC allegedly punched a 16-year-old player from Emu Plains FC, causing the younger player to be hospitalised.
He was banned from his club after the alleged incident.
