n women have praised a French tradie who picked up a bollard and faced the Westfield Bondi knifeman on Saturday afternoon.
Damien Guerot was going to the gym with fellow Frenchman Silas Despreaux when they stumbled across the scene of carnage.
Mr Guerot picked up a retractable barrier and confronted killer Joel Cauchi, 40, as he advanced menacingly up an escalator.
Aussie woman are now praising Mr Guerot, who has earned the nickname ‘Bollard Man’, for his ‘heroic’ act on social media.
‘Nice to see one of the men had some guts,’ one said while another added: ‘Finally some REAL MEN.’

‘Thank you sooo much beautiful man,’ a third commented.
‘Such an amazing man to risk his own life to try and save many more, which I believe he did because we just don’t know how many more would have been hurt or killed if he’d freely gotten up that escalator to continue his rampage!’ one wrote.
‘Such a brave man risking his life by trying to stop him,’ another agreed.
It comes as Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has promised to grant him n citizenship after his heroic act.
Mr Guerot’s visa expires in a month, and a petition was launched to grant him n citizenship after his heroic acts amid the Bondi Junction stabbing.
Mr Albanese was asked about Mr Guerot’s visa on Tuesday morning.

‘I say this to Damien Guerot, who is dealing with his visa applications, that you are welcome here. You are welcome to stay for as long as you like.
‘This is someone who we would welcome becoming an n citizen, although that would of course be a loss for France.
‘We thank him for his extraordinary bravery. It says a lot about the nature of humanity.
‘At a time when we are facing difficult issues that someone who is not a citizen of this country stood bravely at the top of those escalators and stopped this perpetrator from getting onto another floor and potentially inflicting further carnage on citizens.

‘I think that on Saturday we saw some of the best of human character at the same time as we saw such devastating tragedy and I thank Damien for his extraordinary efforts.
Cauchi seemingly targeted women in the attack but authorities are yet to pinpoint a motive for the nation’s worst massacre in recent years.
He was shot dead after killing Dawn Singleton, 25, Jade Young, 47, Pikria Darchia, 55, Yixuan Cheng, 27 and 30-year-old Faraz Tahir, while Ashlee Good, 38, later died in hospital.
A baby girl critically injured in the carnage is showing signs of recovery.
Seven people, including the child, remained in hospital on Monday night.
