An Antiques Roadshow guest was left shell-shocked by the valuation of her grandmother’s childhood doll – which viewers branded ‘creepy’ and ‘possibly possessed’.
The viewers were no doubt perplexed by expert Bunny Campione’s claim that the doll was the ‘most beautiful’ one she had ever seen.
The guest revealed the doll had been bought in France when her grandmother was three or four, and Bunny estimated that it was made in 1890.
She revealed she had never been allowed to play with the doll, and Bunny remarked that the guest’s grandmother had, inspecting the toy’s minimal damage.
The doll was a phonograph doll, a speaking doll, and the guest brought along all the original phonograph discs.

Expert Bunny Campione declared the doll ‘one of the most beautiful’ she had seen on the Roadshow, and appraised it at £6,000
The guest joked: ‘She’s supposed to talk but she hasn’t done it for quite some time.’
Upon seeing the doll, Bunny declared: ‘So, this is one of the most beautiful dolls I’ve seen on the Roadshow.
Before announcing her appraisal, Bunny asked the guest: ‘Have you any idea of her worth?’ And the guest answered: ‘No!’
Bunny continued: ‘With all her original clothes and all these discs I would say she is probably worth around £6,000.’
The guest dropped her mouth open in shock and said: ‘Oh! My goodness. Oh, my goodness. Thank you very much.’
However, instead of marvelling at the value, viewers on X, formerly Twitter, could not get over the doll’s appearance.

It comes after the BBC confirmed there will be new series of Antiques Road Trip, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip, and The Travelling Auctioneers.
Antiques Road Trip has been recommissioned for a twenty-ninth series which will air on BBC One, while the thirteenth series of its celebrity version will air on BBC Two.
Celebrity Antiques Roadshow has had the likes of Sir Terry Wogan, Deborah Meaden, Craig Revel Horwood, Gemma Collins, and Melvin Odoom.
The programmes see auctioneering experts join forces with masters of restoration to uncover neglected treasures in family homes which, with a little bit of TLC, can be hopefully turned into winning lots at auction.
