Anora star Mikey Madison ‘pole danced’ during her rollicking Saturday Night Live monologue, weeks after winning the best actress Oscar for the film.

The 26-year-old emerged as the toast of award season this year for her performance as a New York stripper in Sean Baker’s movie.

Over the course of the film, she falls for a Russian oligarch’s dimwitted son only to wind up on a wild chase across the Big Apple with his boorish handlers.

Mikey’s movie earned a cascade of honors including the Palme d’Or at Cannes and best picture at the Oscars, while she herself won both an Oscar and a BAFTA.

Now she has added another showbiz coup to her resumé, hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time – and using her monologue as an opportunity to fire back at the claims that she had a stunt performer do her dancing for her in Anora.

She decided to prove her credentials by doing a bit of pole dancing herself, leaving the audience breathless with suspense – before they got a riotous surprise.

‘I performed all my own stunts for the film, including all the dancing,’ she assured the audience: ‘so it does kinda bother me when people assume it wasn’t actually me on the pole, ’cause it was and I can prove it right now.’

The audience burst into cheers and applause as Mikey approached a pole and warned the audience that ‘I haven’t done this in a minute.’

However, once the dance began, Mikey was replaced by an extravagantly muscular double whose moves looked more like a gym routine than a striptease.

Patrick Schwarzenegger’s incest storyline on the latest season of The White Lotus was also hilariously sent up during one of the sketches.

Patrick has become a focal point of The White Lotus, where his character Saxon shares an incestuous kiss with his brother Lochlan, played by Sam Nivola.

Marcello Hernandez starred as a pretentious, overwrought acting teacher, whilst Andrew Dismukes played a student called David with doubts about his abilities.

When David cast aspersions on Marcello’s talent, Marcello shot back that David had no credits while he – the teacher – had a whopping total of three.

‘Number one, Wipeout, busted my face on a big red ball,’ he began. ‘Number two, What Would You Do? With John Quinones. Did not help and was racist.’

Marcello then rolled out his third acting credit: ‘Number three, White Lotus, auditioned for the incest scene with my biological brother – and I didn’t hate it!’

In another one of the sketches, Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills alumna Lisa Rinna was name-checked by surprise guest star Joe Jonas.

Chloe Fineman, Bowen Yang and Sarah Sherman starred in a sketch about trend victims waiting ages in line for the latest fashionable product.

Just when Bowen’s character is on the verge of giving up, Joe arrives on the scene and the sketch becomes a music video parody.

In his song, he urges listeners to stay in line for any new fad, because they ‘deserve this viral Greek yogurt,’ or a wine launched by Lisa.
