Andrew Tate’s mother has suffered a heart attack and is set to undergo emergency surgery in hospital.
Paramedics were called to Eileen Tate’s home in Luton this afternoon just hours ahead of crucial court hearing for Tate and his brother Tristan tomorrow.
They have been forbidden from leaving the Romanian capital of Bucharest where they are being probed on allegations of people trafficking and by coincidence the hearing comes just as their mother was taken ill.
A spokesman for the brothers said: ‘It is with heavy hearts that we share the urgent news that the mother of Andrew and Tristan suffered a sudden heart attack this afternoon and was immediately rushed to the hospital.
‘The situation is ongoing, and at this stage, it is our understanding that she will be undergoing emergency surgery. Her discharge from the hospital is contingent on the success of this critical procedure.

The Tate brothers are currently awaiting trial in Romania for human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group – charges which they deny. Today they asked the court to allow them to travel back to the UK to be with their mother
‘The brothers kindly request privacy and consideration from the public and media as they navigate through these uncertain moments. They are profoundly grateful for the support and understanding from friends, colleagues, and well-wishers.
‘In light of this critical and devastating situation, Andrew and Tristan are hopeful that the court will expedite their request to temporarily leave the country to be with their mother and support her during this challenging time.’
Andrew, 36, and his younger brother Tristan, 34, grew up in Luton and are accused of leading a human trafficking ring with two others as well as rape and organised crime.
They are alleged to have lured women to their £600,000 villa on the outskirts of Bucharest and several were then reportedly forced to perform in sexually explicit videos which were sold online.
The brothers grew up on the infamous Marsh farm estate in Luton, where Eileen still lives in a 1970’s end of terrace house after she divorced their father Emory Tate Jnr in 1997.
She is said to be ‘proud’ of her sons and regularly visited them in Romania before their arrest.

A family friend previously said: ‘Their mum is proud of Andrew and Tristan, of course she is. Eileen loves her boys.
‘Most probably she doesn’t like what’s going on. What they’ve been accused of is very serious. I don’t think she is happy with what Andrew says, the misogyny.
‘She says he says these things for the response he gets — for the number of hits on the internet.
‘He’s always going on about fast cars and what a man should be, but Eileen didn’t raise him like that. If you say anything to her about it, she’ll say, ‘That’s my boys.’ ‘
In August the brothers – who deny the allegations – were released from house arrest following their initial detention almost a year ago but they were forbidden from leaving Romania.
Earlier this month a court rejected Andrew’s bid to have his seized assets worth £10 million including 15 luxury cars, watches and properties returned to him after they were seized by police.
A source close to the brothers told :’ We really do hope the Court of Appeal will look favourably on their request to leave the country given the current situation with their mother.
‘This is a critical time for them, and they should be with her.’

Tate has millions of followers across his various online platforms.
He was arrested in December 2022 on allegations of rape, human trafficking and organised crime, spending several months in prison before then been moved to house arrest. He was freed from this in August.
The 36-year-old has insisted he has ‘done nothing wrong’ and has dismissed the allegations against, saying Romanian authorities have ‘no substantial evidence’ against him.
Speaking outside his home in Bucharest, Romania, in August, Tate told reporters he would be ‘absolutely exonerated’ over the charges brought against him and his younger 35-year-old brother.
In September, Tate backed disgraced comedian Russell Brand, telling fans in an ’emergency meeting’ that the comedian was the victim of a ‘matrix attack’.
He joined hundreds of Brand’s supporters suggesting online that the sex crime allegations were a ‘bunch of garbage’ attacking him for ‘telling the truth’ about ‘big pharma’.
