A Manhattan restaurant is offering a $20,000 set meal for two complete with gold-wrapped steak and unlimited Dom Perignon for New Year’s Eve.
Empire Steak House – which has three locations across Midtown – has offered a similar deal for $10,000 for the last decade but has upped its prices this year due to ‘inflation.’ And the eye-watering sum doesn’t even include tax or gratuity.
The special New Year’s menu features caviar, oysters, lobster ravioli and a wagyu tomahawk steak coated in 24 karat gold leaf.
Guests will also be given a bottle of Petrus wine from Bordeaux, France, which typically sells for between $4,000 and $5,000.

Owner Jack Sinanaj claims there is a strong demand for the service, with almost 100 diners eating up the similar $10,000 deal last year.
He told DailyMail.com: ‘We have doubled the price because everything is double the price this year. There are people out there who have the money and are willing to spend it.
‘The economy is coming back now and it’s New Year’s Eve – it’s a time to celebrate.’
He added that the restaurant is specially flying in the Wagyu beef from Japan on a private plane.
Asked what he expected guests to tip, Sinanaj said he would expect similar gratuity to a normal meal – anything from 15 percent of the total bill onwards.
It means guests could pay around $3,000 for a tip alone. Typical clientele tend to include financiers and bankers, Sinanaj said.
‘We had a couple come in one year on their first date. The guy was obviously showing off to impress her,’ he told DailyMail.com.

Empire Steakhouse was founded in 2013 by brothers Jack, Russ and Jeff Sinanaj who moved to the US from Montenegro in the 1980s
The full menu begins with a ‘toast’ of Beluga caviar. For an appetizer, guests have a choice of shrimp cocktail, seared sesame tuna, fresh oysters, grilled octopus or crispy fried calamari.
They can then either have beefsteak tomato and buffalo mozzarella, mixed greens or Caesar salad.
Afterwards, there is a pasta course with the option for gnocci with pesto or lobster ravioli. Both are topped with 24 karat golden leaves.
A side of golden wagyu meatballs in a creamy, golden sauce is also served to diners.
For an entree, guests have the choice between steak or grilled Branzino fish – again topped in 24-karat golden leaves.
Sides include fries, creamed spinach, sauteed spinach, sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes while desert is a tiramisu or chocolate mousse cake.

They have three restaurants in Manhattan – in Midtown East, Midtown West and Times Square – and another in Singapore.
The family also own the Chazz Palminteri Italian Restaurant in White Plains.
If guests don’t want to fork out for the $20,000 menu, there is a cut-price $950 set meal for two on New Year’s Eve.
It is similar but does not feature the Petrus or unlimited champagne. Instead guests will receive one bottle of Rare Brut Champagne from France.
