An American woman revealed her shock after stepping foot into an n Target store for the first time.
RaeAnna, from the US, was visiting her partner in Melbourne when the duo decided to take a trip to Target.
Not knowing what to expect, RaeAnna thought she would walk into a department store that resembled something from back home: sprawling aisles, endless makeup, clothes, food, and an in-house coffee shop.
But the reality was far from the truth.
RaeAnna posted a video of herself walking around a ‘sad’ store that seemed barren in comparison.

Some Target stores in America have Starbucks locations – a fact that shocked many Aussies
‘n Target is like Walmart but worse,’ she said, making a reference to a discount American store.
‘It’s ugly, it’s so bad,’ she said as she couldn’t stop laughing.
Many ns who have visited America claimed the store was a combination of Kmart, Chemist Warehouse, Dan Murphy’s, Sephora, Coles, and a café.
Some tried to suggest Aussie Kmarts were similar to American Targets – but they were quickly shut down.
‘US Targets have so much more than just a Kmart,’ one said. ‘You have so many options for everything.’
‘You can get your ears pierced and get a facial at my local Target,’ another revealed. ‘It also has an optometrist.’
‘Wow, n Target is severely lacking,’ an American wrote.

While some ns and New Zealanders shared their opinions and experiences.
‘I wish we had that, I feel like having three stores in one is so much more convenient that going to multiple places,’ one said.
‘All the options seem amazing – at least you know everyone’s house won’t look the same,’ another added.
‘The shelves on both my closest Kmart and Target stores are always half-empty,’ a rural Aussie wrote.
‘Target is a furniture shop in New Zealand,’ a man wrote.
