Amanda Seyfried had nothing but good things to say about her Mean Girls co-star Lindsay Lohan.
The Mamma Mia star, 39, discussed Lohan’s recent career resurgence in an interview with E! News.
‘She has something. She has a charm and a smile. You want to root for her,’ Amanda said.
Amanda also reminisced about the time when she and her Mean Girls cast mates reunited for a viral Walmart commercial.
‘We all did a Walmart commercial together which was so crazy and funny. Lindsay and Lacey [Chabert] and I got back to where we left off, in its essence,’ she said.
During the whirlwind red carpet interview Amanda also mentioned that she’s looking forward to seeing Lindsay and Jamie Lee Curtis in the new Freaky Friday movie.

Amanda and Lindsay starred in the 2004 teen comedy together, with Lohan playing new girl Cady Heron and Seyfried as the hilariously clueless Karen Smith, one of the ‘Plastics.’
The film was a major box office success, grossing over $130 million worldwide, and became a pop culture phenomenon thanks to its razor-sharp script by Tina Fey and endlessly quotable lines like ‘On Wednesdays we wear pink.’
Its impact has endured for two decades, inspiring a Broadway musical, a 2024 film remake, and a dedicated fanbase that celebrates Mean Girls every October 3rd.
Amanda is busy promoting her new NBC drama Long Bright River, in which she plays Mickey Fitzpatrick, a Philadelphia cop and single mother who is investigating the disappearance of a number of drug-addicted sex workers — including her own sister.
The series, which is based on the novel by the same name by Liz Moore and Nikki Toscano.
Amanda executive produces the series and she’s getting a lot of buzz for her acting chops in it.
During an interview with People promoting Long Bright River, Amanda recalled an embarrassing moment at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards.
‘My boobs fell out of my dress at the 2023 Critics Choice Awards,’ she said plainly, adding, ‘I was wearing this amazing vintage dress. I made my stylist dress up in it before I went just for fun.’

The look was a gold Dior gown with off-the-shoulder sleeves, which boasted a nude-toned sheer lining at the bust.
She remembered the instant the dress gave out in front of Nobody But You actor Glen Powell: ‘I was talking to Glen Powell in the corner near my table, and we were joking around about something and I lifted my arms up, and my boobs were just out. My dress fell apart.’
The Mean Girls sensation remembered Glen being polite about the blunder.
‘We both screamed, and like the gentleman he is, he covered me. He didn’t look… I think. None of us were expecting that, but that dress had truly just given up,’ she told the publication.
Seyfried noted about the shiny vintage frock, ‘It was kind of sewn together and it started truly falling apart, literally falling off of me on the red carpet, and I think there were even interviews where I’m saying it’s breaking off.’
While chatting with Access Hollywood on the red carpet, she did, in fact, say about the archival look: ‘Yeah, it’s old. It keeps breaking. I’m not kidding — it keeps ripping.’

‘It’s like, I’m like tacked…’ she began to say as one of her sleeves slipped down her shoulder.
Amanda then joked, ‘I’m just going to take off my dress,’ before emphasizing, ‘It’s old. It’s beautiful.’
Despite the sartorial mishap, the night was memorable for another reason — the longtime entertainer took home the Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie Made for Television award for her work in The Dropout.
When she took the stage a second time to accept the win for Best Limited Series alongside the full ensemble, Seyfried opted to play it safe by wearing a black leather jacket over her designer threads.
