Alina Habba has ruled herself out of being Donald Trump’s announcement despite speculation she was the front-runner.

The firebrand attorney was thought to be a top contender for one of the most high-profile jobs in the administration.

But on Thursday morning, she announced that she withdrew her name from consideration.

‘While I am flattered by the support and speculation, the role of Press Secretary is not a role I am considering,’ Habba wrote on X. ‘Although I love screaming from a podium I will be better served in other capacities.’

The decision comes as Trump continues to swiftly round out appointments and nominations for his Cabinet and west wing staff just over a week after winning the 2024 presidential election.

Habba is known as an attack dog for Trump and is battle tested when it comes to facing combative members of the press.

Karoline Leavitt, who was Trump’s campaign spokeswoman, is considered to be a top contender for the position of press secretary – and some other names have been floating around Washington.

Initially brought into Trump’s circle to be his attorney in a series of high-profile legal cases, Habba joined the campaign as a senior adviser this summer.

While she remains close to the transition team, a source close with Habba tells DailyMail.com it remains unclear whether what role, if any, she will take in the incoming administration.

‘This adminstration (sic) is going to be epic!’ Habba wrote on X as she made her decision to not be the next press secretary. ‘So proud of the Trump team, the latest appointments and 47!’
