Two men were arrested in connection with the killing of a Comanchero bikie boss who was gunned down in broad daylight.

Alen Moradian, 48, was shot dead on June 27 while sitting in his car near the busy Bondi Junction shopping precinct in Sydney’s east.

Taskforce Magnus detectives raided homes in Greenacre and Liverpool  in the city’s south-west on Monday and arrested the two men.

They were taken to nearby police stations, where they are being interviewed, with charges expected to follow.

Two other men have already been charged over their alleged part in Moradian’s death, but they cannot be identified due to a court order.

Moradian’s killing sparked a spate of tit-for-tat shootings and gang violence across Sydney.

Two men who were captured on CCTV footage were being sought by the police as they searched for who gunned down the notorious Sydney drug lord.

Footage of two men, described by police as being of African appearance and of tall, slim build, was released as detectives look for those who carried out the execution.

One man can be seen wearing a navy-blue hooded jumper and tracksuit pants with black and white sneakers.

The other wears a black hooded jumper and tracksuit pants with black sneakers.

Police allege a 42-year-old man was the ‘mastermind’ behind the shooting, which they believe was motivated by an outstanding debt.

A 31-year-old man was also charged and stands accused of helping to co-ordinate the brazen daylight attack.

Detective Chief Superintendent Jason Weinstein previously said police did not believe the two men were the gunmen and were searching for who pulled the trigger.

‘The allegations are that the 42-year-old-male and the 31-year-old male themselves did not carry out the act,’ he said.

‘They gave the imprimatur, they gave the go ahead or the instructions for it to occur.’

Det Supt Weinstein confirmed half a million dollars was owed to an organised crime entity.

‘Those two individuals themselves were not owed the money but other entities within organised crime were,’ he said.

Police set up a task force in July to target gun violence and organised crime gangs after a spate of public shootings which followed Moradian’s murder.
