Adrian Portelli has been forced to execute a ‘Plan B’ in an attempt to offload the three multi-million dollar homes he purchased during the latest season of The Block.

The move comes after his unsuccessful bid to sell Steph and Gian’s house in a lottery draw last month.

Despite over 45,000 participants eagerly tuning in to witness Adrian reveal the winner via a Facebook Live stream on Christmas Eve, the winner opted to claim the tax-free cash prize of $2.5 million rather than the $5 million house.

An insider told Yahoo Lifestyle the result ‘was not what anyone involved saw happening’ as the Japandi-style property was heralded ‘as a dream home for any n’.

Adrian now plans to re-raffle House 4, which has not only left Steph and Gian disappointed, but also impacted the other houses which are also set to be given away.

The entrepreneurial businessman and the creator of the auto-enthusiast club LMCT+ purchased three properties in the intense finale of the reality show.

The collective cost amounted to $12.4 million.

Raffles for Eliza and Liberty’s House 5 and Kyle and Leslie’s House 1 are now anticipated to occur in the coming months.

Meanwhile, the relationship between Adrian and House 1 is apparently strained.

Kyle and Leslie have allegedly expressed to friends they feel overlooked in the months following the show.

It comes as the contestants from this year’s season of The Block revealed how they really feel about each other.

During filming the intense conflict between the teams had several viewers labelling the show ‘toxic’, but the ‘Blockheads’ didn’t leave the drama on-site and some continued to critique each other in post-show interviews.

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle earlier this month, two teams from this year’s season of the hit renovation show claimed they had put the drama behind them.

While Kyle and Leslie confessed filming the show’s Open For Inspections episode in October was ‘quite awkward’ due to the ongoing drama on the series, the auction forced contestants to understand the ‘real world’ stakes of the competition.

‘So everyone kind of just put it aside on that day and sort of left it like that, essentially,’ said Leslie.

‘The girls [Eliza and Liberty] and Kristy and Brett had a great chat that day, they both wished that each other would go well and sort of called a truce, and it was really lovely,’ she added.

Winner Steph and Gian agreed with Kyle and Leslie, claiming the finale was a good reflection of how the cast feel about each other now.

‘Everyone is amicable. There’s not this hostility between cast members, and that’s genuine. That’s how I felt even on auction day,’ said Gian.

‘We’re quite happy to speak to all of the cast now and we wish them nothing but the best in the future, genuinely,’ Steph added.
