Abbie Chatfield has taken aim squarely at the producers of Married At First Sight in a new Instagram post.
The former radio host, 29, made the comments while recording herself watching the reality TV hit at home with her shirtless boyfriend Adam Hyde.
On Sunday night’s episode — which marked the first commitment ceremony of Season 12 — groom Jake Luik’s disparaging comments made during the photo ranking challenge were revealed to the group.
When picking up bride Awhina’s photo, Jack kicked off by stating: ‘I’m not racist or nothing. I like Caucasians mainly, mostly.
‘Awhina she’s not exactly like — she’s Māori I think — probably why she’s a bit higher, the physical features,’ he added.
‘WHAT?!’ Abbie exclaimed while watching the fleeting moment on TV.

‘The reason why that conversation was shut down, I can guarantee you, is because the producers are too scared to speak about race,’ she seethed.
‘That [comment] needs more than that [amount of screen time]. These producers are too scared to go into the f***ing race thing.’
As a reality TV veteran, Abbie explained to Adam how she believed things would have played out behind the scenes.
‘They think the best thing to do is not to tell Awhina off-camera,’ Abbie claimed, taking issue with how Awhina wasn’t given more time to respond.
‘They think we’ll have him say it, have him apologise, and we can squash it and move on, because all the producers would be freaking out over having a racial issue.
‘It makes me so f***ing angry. It happens time and time again,’ she continued.
‘Now she’s embarrassed in that room, hurt, blindsided, hoodwinked.
‘When actually the right thing to do is: have a producer tell Awhina, or have Ash tell Awhina, and let her decide if she wants it confronted on the show.’

Married At First Sight's Jake Luik looks downcast as he prepares for a brutal commitment ceremony
Peking Duk frontman Adam agreed heartily with Abbie, saying ‘F***in oath…That’s a problem.’
‘That is so hurtful and disgusting,’ Awhina could be heard saying in a dub that played over the castmates’ reactions to Jake’s comments in the episode.
Jake’s harsh remarks, including also saying that Jacqui has ‘crazy eyes,’ Rhi has ‘a little lazy eye,’ and that Sierah’s face screams ‘I could stab you in your sleep,’ have been widely condemned by fans.
Speaking to Daily Mail exclusively after his exit from the show, Jake said producers, ‘were waiting for me to say something they could twist, something they could use.
‘I had a miserable time. I wasn’t happy.’
Jake now insists that his words were taken out of context and edited in a way that made him look worse than he really was.
‘I know I shouldn’t have said it, and I apologised immediately at the commitment ceremony,’ he admitted. ‘But they made it look like I took my time and didn’t want to say sorry.’
He also claimed he was ‘forced’ to make those ranking comments during the controversial photo challenge.
‘The production crew weren’t happy with anything I was saying,’ he alleged.
‘They told me, “You need to spend 30 seconds on each girl and be more detailed.”
‘So I just said something stupid. My mouth works faster than my brain sometimes.’
