Machete-wielding robbers who ransacked a family’s home before stealing their dog are being hunted by police.

RAF officer Jason Shutt, 53, and his 40-year-old wife Sashi also had £20,000 of cash and valuables taken from their property in Ruislip, West London.

The armed gang stole their beloved pug, Ozzie, too.

The family said they aren’t focused on getting the money, jewellery and watches back but just want poor Ozzie, 8, returned.

Daughter Serena said her stepmother had been left traumatised and believes the gang – of up to three – had been watching the house.

She said: ‘My stepmom was held up against the wall with a machete. We don’t really care about the items they took.

‘We don’t care about the material things. But we really want Ozzie back.

‘We want Ozzie home.’

The dog has been neutered and microchipped, has a distinctive scar on his hind leg, and has previously had cancer.

Serena urged people to look at their security and doorbell cameras to help catch the men.

She added: ‘I’m begging anyone who has CCTV to please look for three men suspiciously walking around that area.

‘And a white van that they could’ve taken off in.’

Sashi said: ‘The day my life was stolen and took from me and my family.

‘My happy bubble has exploded. An armed robbery with a machete to my throat.

‘I’m broken, from the outside I look normal, the inside is being burned away.

‘I shall never recover from this ordeal, they have taken my life and identity. ‘

The raid took place at 9am on Monday February 10.

A Met Police spokesperson said: ‘We were called at 09:36 am on Monday, 10 February to an aggravated burglary in Bridgwater Road, Ruislip.

‘Officers swiftly attended and spoke to the victim.

‘The victim was threatened with a knife by the two suspects before they fled the property with a number of items.

‘Detectives from the West Area’s Burglary and Robbery Team are investigating.

‘No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue.

‘Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101 quoting CAD 1620/10 FEB or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online.’
