Mark Zuckerberg wasn’t the only one spotted stealing secret glances during the Donald Trump’s inauguration on Monday.
Joe Biden, Doug Emhoff and Bill Clinton have sent social media into a frenzy after appearing to ‘ogle’ country star Carrie Underwood as she took to the stage.
The singer, 41, was invited to sing America The Beautiful as Republican politician Trump, 78, was sworn in for a second term in office.
Underwood looked stunning as she took her position in the U.S. Capitol Rotunda wearing a specially crafted dove gray draped midi dress by Italian fashion house Opificio Modenese.
And it seems her frock hugged her in all the right places, with eagle-eyed viewers quick to catch Biden, Emhoff and Clinton, whom were standing behind the singer, casting their eyes in her direction.
‘DUDES AREN’T EVEN HIDING IT AT THE TRUMP CORONATION,’ one user posted to X, formerly known as Twitter.
‘Doug Emhoff and Bill Clinton ogle Carrie Underwood,’ the account, who posts under Citizen Free Press, continued.
The concluded the scathing tweet with: ‘Show some respect you democrat dogs.’
Some other users also noticed the awkward moment, sharing their findings on X.
‘Take a look at Doug Emhoff and Bill Clinton checking out Carrie Underwood as she sang at the inauguration,’ another post read.
‘Did Biden and Clinton checkout Carrie Underwood’s a** at least twice as she walked in?’ questioned another.
‘Find three men who look at you like Bill Clinton, Doug Emhoff, and Joe Biden look at Carrie Underwood,’ joked another.
Underwood’s performance got off to a dramatic start after the glamorous star walked on stage, joining outgoing President Biden.
An unsettling silence fell over the crowd as the music failed to play, with a baffled Underwood clutching onto her microphone.
Finally, the first strains of the song broke out, before abruptly stopping after just a few seconds – with Underwood pulling a face as both Trump and Biden looked on with bemusement.
Amidst the silence, an increasingly irate Underwood pulled a face and decided to perform a capella.
She said: ‘If you know the words, help me out here!’ before singing the song.
The American Idol judge is said to have laid down a list of requests, including a huge entourage and a handmade designer dress, ahead of the gig, which was plagued by technical issues.
Underwood had faced fierce criticism for agreeing to perform at the ceremony after telling fans that she was ‘humbled’ to take part in the historic event.
The move was taken by some as confirmation of her support for the incoming President, with many questioning her ‘morals’ while others branded her decision ‘disgusting.’
