A model who attacked a fellow clubber, three police officers and two bouncers on a night out has been handed a hefty fine and a community order.
Georgia Brown was thrown out of Gossip! nightclub following an ‘altercation’ with another woman in the smoking area during a night out in Hanley in March last year.
The 27-year-old also ‘punched’ two bouncers, kicked two police officers and attempted to bite a third officer’s hand.
Brown, of Chetwynd Street, Smallthorne, was convicted of five counts of assault by beating and one count of common assault.
Representing herself, Brown told North Staffordshire Justice Centre that she had not had a drink in nine years before she went out that night and that she was ‘stupid’ to think she could ‘handle alcohol’.
‘I have no recollection of anything but I put my hands up to it completely’, she told the court. ‘I’m very sorry to those people, the situation couldn’t have ended up any worse than it did.
‘I hadn’t drank in nine years and stupidly thought I could handle alcohol, but now I recognise I can’t and I was stupid to think I could.
Magistrate Christopher Rushton handed Brown a 12 month community order, which includes 60 hours of unpaid work.
She must also pay a combined £774 in compensation to the six people she assaulted.
‘This was a very despicable evening’s activities, but by your own statements we can see you are sorry for your actions and you have probably learned a very important abstinence lesson’, Magistrate Rushton said.
‘A community order will be a part of your sentence but we’re pretty convinced you will turn your life around and rehabilitate. We do not ever expect you to be in this courtroom again.’
