The horrifying moment a pack of wolves started running towards a hunter was captured on video.
Hunter and former Miss North Carolina Brittany Kichton recorded at least five wolves charging in her direction while she appeared to be hiding in the woods.
It is unclear where and when the video was filmed, but it garnered strong – mostly excited – reactions from viewers and other hunting enthusiasts.
Kichton’s video was posted on X by Drury Outdoors and was seen by more than 19,000 people.
‘It’s really scary and awesome at the same time,’ one commenter wrote.
Another said it would be ‘an amazing opportunity’ from a hunter’s perspective. Someone else chimed in and said they would be ‘stoked’ if they were there when this happened.
Based on how the video was recorded, Kichton did not seem scared by the charging animals. She stayed still and calm as they progressively got closer to her.
According to Drury Outdoors, Kichton is originally a ‘tomboy’ from North Carolina. Her love for hunting began when she was invited to Texas for her first whitetail hunt in 2011 – while she held her pageant title.
She graduated from North Carolina State University with two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree. She studied biology and animal sciences.
After college, she moved to South Carolina for work and has since continued to hunt and fish. She met her husband Richard on a 2016 hunting trip in Alberta, Canada. they have two children together.
Kichton documents her hunting endeavors on social media, showing off her animal trophies.
On September 8, 2024, she posted pictures of her smiling with a black wolf she proudly hunted.
‘Starting the season off HOT! It’s been a goal of mine to get more than one wolf from a pack during a hunt, and I finally made that dream come true last weekend!’ she wrote on Facebook.
On November 22, 2024, she shot and killed a large mule deer, gracefully posing with the dead animal by holding up its antlers.
‘[Kichton] kills her BIGGEST muley to date!!’ Drury Outdoors wrote in a joint Instagram post with her.

Kichton’s followers often praise her for the accomplishments, flooding her comment sections with spirited congratulations.
Although her Instagram page is predominately filled with animal content or family photos, she set aside a post to discuss her pro-Trump politics the day of the 2024 election.
She wrote: ‘Proud “Garbage” supporter! I had the honor of shaking [Donald Trump’s] hand at Trump Tower in New York when I was Miss North Carolina USA, and now I’ve had the honor of voting for him for the THIRD time to be president of our amazing country.
‘I believe in securing our borders. I believe in law and order and protecting our people from crime. I believe in backing our police and military. I believe in PROTECTING OUR CHILDREN and the lives of innocents.’
