Alert – Sara Sharif killers sentencing LIVE: Father Urfan Sharif and stepmother Beinash Batool to serve at least 40 and 33 years in prison for murdering schoolgirl while uncle receives 16 years

Sara Sharif’s father and stepmother have been jailed for life at the Old Bailey for her murder.

Urfan Sharif was given a minimum term of 40 years and Beinash Batool 33 years, while Sara’s uncle Faisal Malik was handed a term of 16 years.

The Old Bailey heard how Sara, 10, was hooded, bitten, burned and eventually beaten to death during a campaign of abuse before her body was found with at least 71 injuries at the family’s home in Woking, Surrey, last year.
