A school teacher has been arrested for allegedly possessing child abuse material.
Detectives from NSW Police launched an investigation on December 3 after receiving reports a 23-year-man was in possession of child abuse material.
Officers carried out a search warrant at a school in Port Stephens, near Newcastle on the NSW north coast, on December 4.
Detectives seized several electronic devices for forensic examination.
The 23-year-old man was arrested and taken to Maitland Police Station on Friday and charged with possessing child abuse material.
He was granted strict conditional bail and will face Maitland Local Court on January 15.
