Late President John F. Kennedy’s grandson, Jack Schlossberg, is calling out the fact that his late aunt Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s clothing is being auctioned off by Sotheby’s – admitting he finds it ‘super creepy.’
Three of Carolyn’s coats are currently being auctioned as part of Sotheby’s Fashion Icons sale this year, one of them going for up to $30,000.
And, on Wednesday, the pieces were showed off during a segment on The Today Show with Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie, which gave an exclusive look at the coats hanging on mannequins as they praised her as a ‘style icon.’
The coats include one with a faux-leopard print, a black belted piece by designer Prada, and a double-breasted jacket by Yohji Yamamoto.
However, Schlossberg, 31, seemed to be less-than-thrilled about this development, and took to Instagram to air out his thoughts – even tagging Guthrie.
‘Super creepy if you ask me,’ Schlossberg wrote on his Instagram Stories, which he posted alongside a photo of the segment playing on a TV screen.
‘Have me on to discuss real issues,’ his message continued, as he tagged host Savannah Guthrie in the story.
He also posted a follow-up Instagram story, writing, ‘I think you should interview young people (me) instead of a dress you found somewhere to make $$ off someone’s death.’

Schlossberg himself has always been in the public eye, but this summer, he became a political correspondent for Vogue Magazine.

Carolyn married John F. Kennedy Jr., who was the son of Robert F. Kennedy, in 1996.
Tragically, the couple died in a plane crash three years later, in July 1999, along with Carolyn’s sister, Lauren Bessette, as they were flying over Martha’s Vineyard in Massachusetts.
But even though this year marked the 25th anniversary of her death, Gen Z has been inspired by her chic style.
Carolyn has even become a fashion icon to those who were born after her untimely death.
On TikTok, there are now countless videos made about how you can emulate her smart and streamlined looks, and articles focused on how you can replicate her style today.
Sotheby’s themselves even acknowledged the socialite as one of the ‘most recognized and revered fashion icons of the 20th century’ in the description of the auction.

Sotheby’s also referred to her as an ‘irreplaceable figure,’ who captivated ‘the world with her timeless elegance, minimalist style, and what is known today as ‘quiet luxury.’
The upcoming auction also includes unique pieces from designers Christian Dior, John Galliano, Oscar de la Renta and Balenciaga.
And, Carolyn isn’t the only public figure whose items are up for sale at Sotheby’s.
Breakfast at Tiffany’s actress Audrey Hepburn’s Givenchy Haute Couture Cocktail Gown, which features a beaded trim on the bottom, is also being auctioned off.
Right now, it has a starting bid of $6,000.
Early-2000’s icon Paris Hilton is also included in the mix, as a brightly-colored Donatella Versace Micro-mini dress from the Spring/Summer 2003 collection is being sold at a starting bid of $5,000.
