A teenager allegedly stabbed to death while camping with mates has been pictured for the first time – as tragic new details emerge about the incident.
Isaac, 15, was camping with friends at Wilton, just past the outskirts of south-west Sydney, on Friday night when he was allegedly stabbed by Jacob Greig, 32.
Police allege the boy, seeking a lift home, tried to open Greig’s car door, with the professional chef becoming outraged and slashing the teen with a knife before driving off.
Tragically, his body was discovered the following morning by his friends, who had originally thought he had left the campsite and gone home.
Family friend Donna Young has started a GoFundMe to help his struggling parents with funeral costs.
‘Isaac was a beloved son, brother, and friend. His life, full of promise and potential, was tragically cut short due to an (alleged) act of senseless violence,’ she wrote.
‘Isaac’s family—his mum, dad, and siblings—are now faced with the unimaginable pain of not only grieving the loss of their precious son but also managing the overwhelming costs that come with such a sudden tragedy.
The fundraising page, which will go towards his funeral costs and supporting his family, has so far raised almost $10,000.
Isaac’s father, Paul, told the Daily Telegraph that he wanted Isaac to be remembered as an adored son, brother and mate, whose life was taken far too soon.
More to come.
