Two Chinese restaurant workers have been rushed to hospital after a violent fight allegedly broke out between the pair at work.  

NSW Police attended the Crystal Seafood Restaurant in Carlingford in Sydney’s north-west on Sunday afternoon after reports of an allegedly stabbing in the kitchen.

‘Police were told two employees had an argument before one man allegedly stabbed the other man multiple times in his head, face and arms,’ a police statement read.

A man, 63, suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Royal North Shore Hospital for further treatment.

Another man, 46, believed to be a chef at the restaurant was arrested at the scene. 

He was taken to hospital under police guard for treatment for a minor head inquiry.

He was later released from hospital and taken to Gladesville Police Station, where he was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He was refused bail to appear in Burwood Local Court on Monday.

Investigators established a crime scene and spent much of Sunday afternoon examining the restaurant and interviewing witnesses.

Inquiries into the alleged melee continue.

The restaurant was open for yum cha diners at the time of the incident. 

The venue describes itself on its website as  Sydney’s ‘premier Chinese seafood restaurant.
