alert-–-nintendo-sparks-fan-frenzy-with-new-alarmo-clock:-‘best-thing-ever’Alert – Nintendo sparks fan frenzy with new Alarmo clock: ‘Best thing ever’

Nintendo fans who are eager to wake up to the sounds of ink splats from Splatoon 3 or coins from Super Mario Odyssey will be able to do sue with the all-new Nintendo Sound Clock: Alarmo.

The company behind several legendary video game series like Donkey Kong and Mario Kart announced the clock in a press release today.

It described the new product as an ‘interactive alarm clock designed to add some Nintendo charm to your home and your daily routine.’

‘This is quite cool! If I’m going to wake up and start my day, it might as well be to Mario, Zelda, and friends,’ an X user wrote this morning.

The clock, which some social media fans hailed as the ‘best thing ever,’ will be available in retail next year, but Nintendo Switch Online members in the US and Canada can purchase it today.

The $99 Alarmo comes with sounds from five Nintendo games.

Besides Splatoon 3 and Super Mario Odyssey, sleepers can select one of 35 scenes from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Pikmin 4 and Ring Fit Adventure.

‘Rise to sounds of the Mushroom Kingdom with Mario and friends, begin your day’s adventure with Link and Princess Zelda, or start fresh with the Inklings from Splatoon 3,’ the company said.

Alarmo owners have the option to choose which mode the alarm be at: steady or gentle.

They can also select soothing sounds and music to help them fall asleep for a nap during the day or going to bed at night.

Since the announcement, X users have been giddy with excitement over the Alarmo’s features despite its ‘annoying sounds’.

‘Finally, an alarm clock that makes me rage quit mornings like it’s Mario Kart,’ an X user tweeted.

Another Nintendo fan wrote: ‘I want it even though I know I’m going to despite every noise it makes in the morning.’

Various X users already ordered their Alarmos, and have praised Nintendo for their ‘lifestyle products.’

‘I can imagine different models of this in different colors. Or even a Pikachu one with ears,’ a tweeter wrote regarding the clock.

Another X user wrote: ‘Price point is steep but I’m honestly considering this just so I can wake up to Zelda screaming at me.

‘The Nintendo Alarmo wakes me up, then it’s straight to the Xbox toaster for breakfast! Thank you so much @NintendoAmerica.’

Other X users weren’t as thrilled about the alarm clock, and how Nintendo created what they called a ‘special form of torture.’

‘Whenever I hear the sound of my alarm, even when I am awake, I get irritated and a rush of anxiety. I don’t think I want to associate Nintendo sounds with that,’ an X user tweeted.

Some Nintendo fans were especially angry over the Alarmo’s ‘laughable’ price and insisted they would not purchase the clock because of it.

‘Ok I mean this in the most respectful way. Nobody cares about this thing. $100 for a clock that requires an NSO subscription to even buy it is insane,’ an X user wrote.

One angry X user wrote: ‘Y’all really charging $100 plus a Nintendo online subscription for an alarm clock!? Who thought that was a good idea.’

The steep price for the alarm clock that one user believes will rise to ‘$500 each on eBay’ is not the only the aggravated Nintendo fans were angry about.

Several X users also showed frustration with the announcement in general after they believed Nintendo would announce an arrival of Switch 2.

‘Nintendo revealed an alarm clock before the Switch 2 LMAO,’ an X user wrote.

‘The Switch 2 looks nothing like I imagined and here i thought it was going to be a game console,’ another X user wrote this morning.

Some gaming enthusiasts wrongly assumed the Alarmo was some sort of a ‘fake April Fools product.’

‘This trailer plays like an April fools Nintendo announcement,’ an X user tweeted.

‘I love those interesting little critters over there. This is so random.’
