Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes appeared to keep their distance once again at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday night, after being almost inseparable at Chiefs games last season.
Swift and Mahomes have, in recent weeks, backed different candidates for next month’s presidential election. Mahomes has made it no secret that she wants Donald Trump to win, while Swift has publicly endorsed Kamala Harris.
Footage did emerge on social media appearing to show them hugging before the game started before going their separate ways. But after watching so many games together on the Chiefs run to Super Bowl glory last year, they are yet to sit together this time around to cheer the team on.
Swift, at her first Chiefs game in over two weeks, was seen sitting with her father, Scott, Kelce’s dad Ed and Kylie Kelce, wife of Travis’ brother Jason, as well as a number of Travis’ friends. Brittany was not seen with them, despite watching multiple Chiefs games with Swift last season both at Arrowhead and on the road.
The pregnant wife of the Chiefs quarterback did share a picture of gameday outfit on Instagram before the game, she was wearing a red leather jacket and trousers.

Swift and Mahomes were apart at the opening game of the season when the Chiefs hosted the Baltimore Ravens.
That night, Swift took her her usual spot in Kelce’s luxury suite alongside the tight end’s family and friends. She was captured sitting next to both of Kelce’s parents – Ed and Donna – in the first half.
Mahomes, meanwhile, was sat with her daughter Sterling Skye in a different suite as she cheered on her husband.
Soon after that game, Swift endorsed Kamala Harris at next month’s election with a statement directly at odds with her friend Brittany, who had liked multiple posts and comments on social media supporting a Donald Trump victory.
It caught the eye of Trump himself, who wrote on Truth Social: ”I want to thank beautiful Brittany Mahomes for so strongly defending me, and the fact that MAGA is the greatest and most powerful Political Movement in the History of our now Failing Country.’
Mahomes and Swift struck up a close bond last season and often watched Chiefs games together both in Kansas City and on the road.
For one game last October against the Los Angeles Chargers, they even appeared to devise a celebratory handshake for when the Chiefs scored a touchdown.
It made the distance between them at the Ravens game all the more striking. But the following week Kelce, Swift and the Mahomes’ were all together in a box for the US Open men’s final in New York.

Despite their apparent political differences, sources recently revealed to DailyMail.com that Taylor and Brittany specifically implemented measures to protect their friendship even as fans predicted a huge fallout after her support of Trump became public.
‘Taylor is not going to be written into this anti-Brittany narrative because they have made a pact to not discuss politics,’ sources said, adding that the pair would ‘respect that they have different views.’
The source claimed ‘Brittany knew better than to discuss politics’ at a recent party Taylor threw for Blake Lively at her Rhode Island mansion as she didn’t want to ‘risk confrontation over opposing views.’
According to the insider, Taylor’s Eras Tour opened her eyes to the fact that she has millions of fans who don’t all share the same views, and she has learned to respect that.
