Fans have gone wild for the release of Coldplay’s new album, Moon Music.
The boyband, consisting of lead singer Chris Martin, bass guitarist Guy Berryman, pianist Will Champion, keyboard instrumentalist Jonny Buckland and creative director Phil Harvey, released their 10th studio album today.
Fans flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their excitement.
One user wrote: ‘After attending the album listening event, I can say that Moon Music is a very complete recording.
‘It’s wonderful and impressive in every detail and you really feel the essence of Coldplay! It is without a doubt one of the band’s best albums, just as Phil said.’

Another added: ‘This is what @coldplay does!!!! Bringing different people from different parts of the country, that became friends throughout the years and now gathered together (one more time) to listen to MOON MUSiC.

Last month, Chris took to instagram to explain the meaning of the album.
He said: ‘I think what this album is about is a response to struggling with all the conflict within oneself, within myself, and also all the conflict outside, and working out what the best response is.
‘And I think what Moon Music is trying to say is maybe, love is the best response. even when that feels difficult to do, which I definitely find it hard todo a lot of the time. Which is probably why we try and sing about it so much, as a reminder.
‘So, a lot of the songs are about struggle, maybe personal, maybe that I see in other people, or maybe a feeling we’re all feeling as a species.’
Coldplay revealed that Moon Music was released on Friday.
They took to their Instagram and wrote: Moon Music our 10th album, is finally here. Wherever you are in the world, we send you our love,’ alongside an image from the beach which shows the words moon music engraved into the sand.
One fan commented: ‘Thanks guys, once again. You’re the soundtrack of our lives.’
Whilst another added: ‘ What a masterpiece! Thank You, guys!

Coldplay have released several top selling albums through the duration of their career and have built a massive following.
For their album X&Y, which was released in 2005, the band won a Brit Award for British Album of the Year.
The Album Everyday Life, which was released in 2019, received a GAFFA award for International Band of the Year.
