Green Party candidate Jill Stein says Kamala Harris ‘cannot’ win the election in November and will be part of the effort to stop her.
The far-left Stein is often considered a spoiler candidate who swung votes away from Hillary Clinton 2016. She is back on the ballot in 2024 and determined to make a statement.
Stein believes that anti-Israel sentiment – along with rhetoric about the Jewish state committing ‘genocide’ – from Muslims and Arab Americans in swing states like Michigan will ultimately deny Harris the presidency this November.
‘The Democrats cannot win without the support of the Muslim American community,’ she said. ‘And that community has left the station and is not coming back unless the Democrats decide that it’s more important to them to win the election than it is to conduct the genocide.’
In addition, she called for Secretary of State Antony Blinken to be impeached for allegedly lying to Congress over Israel disrupting aid to the Gaza strip.
‘This was a lie on his part in order to continue this war, which is now very dangerously expanding,’ Stein told Newsweek.
Stein – currently polling in single digits but the most ardently anti-Israel candidate on the ballot – spelled out what the Democrats need to do to sway her voters.
‘So they have to do a 180 on the genocide and they don’t appear willing to do that. They could win those votes back, but it doesn’t look like that’s on the cards. So it looks like they are sacrificing several swing states,’ she said.
She says that Harris will lose enough of Muslim and Arab voters to swing the election to Trump. Most polls show her within the margin of error, tied or losing to Trump in places like Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Instead, Stein claims those voters are choosing to embrace her candidacy.
Polling by the Council on American Islamic Relations has shown Stein leading Harris and even Trump among Muslim voters in states like Wisconsin and Michigan.
‘We’re doing outreach all the time to a lot of different groups but it’s really been the Muslim Americans and Arab Americans who have really taken this campaign on like it’s theirs—like they have enormous ownership over this,’ she said.
A Democrat spokesperson says not to believe the hype.
‘Jill Stein is a spoiler for Trump who is working hand in hand with Republican consultants and Trump’s former personal lawyer to get her on the ballot in swing states. This will be a close election and the only way to stop Donald Trump is by voting for Vice President Harris,’ the DNC’s Adrienne Watson said in a statement.
Stein was arrested in April at Washington University in St. Louis as campus chaos related to the Israel-Hamas war spread across the country in reaction to the October 7 Hamas terrorist attack that killed over a thousand Israelis.
Stein, 73, and members of her campaign staff joined pro-Palestinian protests at the college in St. Louis, Missouri when the 2024 candidate got into a scuffle with law enforcement.
Students at WashU are among those engaging in nationwide campus protests over their college’s ties to the war in Gaza.
Stein also joined protesters at Columbia University on Friday, where anti-Israel demonstrators have taken over campus with an encampment that they refuse to breakdown despite threats from the college.
She claims Columbia is writing a ‘blank check’ to fund the war in Gaza because its endowment includes investment in Microsoft, which sells computers to the Israeli Defense Force.
Along with Stein, the others arrested with her team include campaign manager Jason Call and deputy campaign manager Kelly Merrill-Cayer.
Before being cuffed, Stein took a video describing her actions.
‘We’re standing here with the students at WashU standing up for our constitutional rights, standing up for the American people who want an end to this genocide now,’ she said in a selfie-style video.
‘Police are gathered here,’ she added, panning to an image of a full-force of law enforcement, ‘and we’re going to stand here in line with the students.’
In the background of the video, the college students are heard chanting, ‘Hold the line.’
‘Jill and others were attempting to deescalate with police before they began arresting people,’ a post from Stein’s X account claims.
Holding a megaphone in her hands but speaking without it, Stein said to law enforcement: ‘We can avoid the embarrassment and the humiliation that will come down on this administration if it attacks peaceful demonstrators who are simply calling for peace and human rights and the end to a genocide that the American people abhor.’
Stein currently is part of DailyMail.com’s electoral model shading the 2024 election to Trump.
