Ashton Kutcher is headed back to TV to star in a forthcoming FX show from Ryan Murphy called The Beauty.

The 46-year-old actor – who has been at the center of backlash over 2019 remarks he made about Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ parties – is joined in the cast of the series by Evan Peters, 37, Anthony Ramos, 32, and Jeremy Pope, 32, according to Deadline.

The premise of the 11-episode series focuses on an Image Comics franchise created by Jeremy Haun and Jason A. Hurley, according to the outlet, as the That ’70s Show alum ‘is thought to be playing a tech billionaire’ in the forthcoming show.

A summary of the comic reads: ‘Modern society is obsessed with outward beauty. What if there was a way to guarantee you could become more and more beautiful every day?

‘What if it was a sexually transmitted disease? In the world of The Beauty, physical perfection is attainable. The vast majority of the population has taken advantage of it, but Detectives Foster and Vaughn will soon discover it comes at a terrible price.’

He costarred on the series with friend Danny Masterson, who was written off the show in 2017 amid sexual misconduct allegations that later led to his 30-year prison sentence in his double rape conviction last year.

Kutcher has made sporadic appearances on TV in recent years, making cameos on shows such as That ’90s Show and The Boys.

He also provided vocals for the animated series Stoner Cats with wife Mila Kunis in 2021-2022.

After receiving flak for his support of Masterson, Kutcher has again fallen under scrutiny for past remarks he made about attending parties thrown by Combs – who was arrested two weeks ago in connection with a federal sex trafficking indictment.

‘I’ve got a lot I can’t tell,’ Kutcher told Hot Ones in 2019 when asked about the parties hosted by Combs, who he has been photographed with on numerous occasions over the past two decades.

He added, ‘Can’t tell that one either … I’m cycling through them.’

In the segments, Kutcher said, ‘Diddy party stories … weird man,’ adding that he initially crossed paths with Diddy in 2003 when he presided over the MTV prank show Punk’d.

‘We just became fast friends, and we used to just hang out and watch football together – he just can’t lose,’ Kutcher said.
