The n comedy duo behind the enormously popular podcast The Little Dum Dum Club with Tommy & Karl have had a brutal falling out.

Tommy Dassalo, 38, and Karl Chandler, 48, who have been producing the show for 14-years in Melbourne, took to social media to reveal the split on Wednesday.

In what was a messy public meltdown Dassalo told followers that his relationship with his on air partner had ‘deteriorated’ and that the pair could ‘no longer work together’.

He also added in the post, shared to X, that he found the situation ’embarrassing’.

‘Our working relationship deteriorated to the point where a bunch of commitments were left unfulfilled,’ he said of the breakup.

‘To get to this point was pretty disheartening for me, as someone who cares deeply about the quality and consistency of what they put out.

‘There’s no one person at fault here, but there’s also unfortunately no way forward. ‘We can no longer work together, and the show was suffering as a result of that.

‘Everything has to end eventually, right? Unfortunately, the other half of the show doesn’t feel the same way, in spite of my trying to have a conversation about this,’ he added.

‘Hey mates, sorry for the drama, bit much don’t you reckon?’

Airing more dirty laundry for fans, Chandler agreed that the duo had issues and suggested that there was some legal wrangling behind their friendship fallout.

‘It’s been very difficult lately. Always been great on air, bit of a tough working relationship behind the scenes,’ he confessed.

‘Obviously I’ve loved the show and I’ve put so much into it, and would’ve been nice to have a normal chat with a mate instead of having legalese thrust at me out of nowhere. Really strange stuff, honestly.’

He ended the short post with a promise he would be releasing ‘more content’ addressing the shock end to their podcast.

Confirmation of the split comes after the pair did not release an episode of the Little Dum Dum Club with Tommy & Karl last week.

Fans were rattled after Chandler released a message to their official Instagram last Wednesday that explained that no new episodes were planned.

‘Hey mates, sorry. There’s no new episode today and nothing planned,’ he said.

‘There’s been a new episode every single week for like 14 years or whatever, so yeah, it’s not very Rick. This week probably won’t get a mention on the best of 2024.

‘Trouble in paradise at the moment, so a big apology from me personally because I super appreciate how many of you guys are invested in the show, just like I am. There should have been a new episode today.

‘Apologies again, and let’s talk soon! And happy September 11! KC.’
