The Los Angeles Police Department is still actively looking for the driver who carelessly struck a 63-year-old woman, leaving her with severe injuries.

The hit-and-run collision happened on September 6 just before 6 pm in Sherman Oaks, a suburban neighborhood in northwest Los Angeles, according to a release from the LAPD’s Valley Traffic Division.

Video released by police showed a black Hyundai sedan traveling west on Ventura Blvd and making a left onto Costello Avenue.

The car then plows into the female pedestrian strolling through the crosswalk, knocking her to the ground and sending her one of her shoes flying off her foot.

After hitting the woman, the driver stopped for about three seconds before driving off.

The woman, who remains unidentified, managed to get back on her feet with no help. Fire department paramedics transported her from the scene to the hospital for her injuries.

The LAPD included additional pictures of the suspect vehicle, which police described as a black Hyundai 4-door sedan with tinted windows.

No license plate number was provided, but investigators are still pursuing the person who was behind the wheel at the time of the collision.
