In the world of Harry Potter there is no shortage of hunks to make people swoon.

Whether it’s the boy wizard himself with his courageous adventures and recognisable scar, Ron Weasley with his charm and humour or even Draco Malfoy with his bad boy persona, it’s no surprise some fans can develop a crush or two.

However, videos shared online show fans have started to fall head over heels for one of the franchise’s most unlikely characters.

Visitors to the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London to get a behind the scenes look at how the series was made, are swooning over ‘thirst trap’ Death Eaters.

Yes, the masked followers of Lord Voldemort – or He Who Shall Not Be Named if you’re superstitious – have taken the internet by storm.

The group, who wear creepy masks and go around killing witches and wizards born to non-magical parents, are one of the big baddies in films and books.

By doing Voldemort’s bidding, including resurrecting him from the dead and attacking Hogwarts itself, you would perhaps expect forming a crush on them to be beyond the pale.

The outlaw group’s ominous presence, theatrical flourishes and downright creepy attitude appears to be too much for some people visiting the Harry Potter themed amusements around the world.

Those bitten by the love bug have been posting videos on TikTok revealing how the villainous gang have been getting them hot under the collar.

One woman who visited The Making of Harry Potter tour in London posted a video of masked man beckoning her to come closer with his fingers.

Overlaid with the song Kiss Me by Mette and with the caption ‘the tension in the room was undeniable’ the woman behind the camera appears drawn towards the man.

She added: ‘Who needs a man when a Death Eater gives you this sort of attention?’

Women in the comments were similarly taken by him, claiming they were ‘instantly in love’.

One wrote ‘the hand tattoos?! My dark romance heart’, while another added ‘how DARE he summon me like that…but I am on my way’.

Meanwhile, in the US fans are also being struck down by the Death Eater fever, with those at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando Resort falling hard.

In one video a masked magician was seen flourishing his wand and twirling his cape before grandly bowing down to the camera.

This was enough to send many into a state of hysteria, with one woman suggestively writing: ‘As a Slytherin I’m SO ready to get my dark mark…’

One woman wrote: ‘I don’t know how I ended up on Death Eater thirst trap side of TikTok but I’m here for it.’

Another added: ‘My Ravenclaw heart just melts for a Slytherin baddie.’

Someone else wrote: ‘I just know I can never visit this place. I’m a Gryffindor but oh man would I switch sides.’

It seems even displays of wanton violence aren’t enough to put some people off, with a video of one Death Eater slamming a chair to the ground in anger raising the temperature.

When one viewer suggested posted a hot face emoji in response, another added: ‘I know right oddly jealous of the chair.’

It’s not just the violence, but the creepy demeanour which has caught the attention of some fans.

In one video a Death Eater in Orlando is seen cornering a very willing fan against a wall and threatening her with his wand.

This sparked much swooning in the comments, with one person writing:

Another added: ‘I swear to god all of them have done their research on booktok’

Someone else wrote: ‘I don’t think this is what Universal intended when they employed the Death Easters but goddamn…’

And one hysterical woman said: ‘BRO WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!! I’m blushing through the screen AND I AINT EVEN THERE. XD.’
