Authorities are desperately searching for a pair of adorable siblings who were allegedly kidnapped by their parents during a supervised visit in California – social workers worry they’re a family that could ‘live off the grid.’
Wyman, four, and Willow Bryant, two, went missing on August 14 after their parents Tiffany Bryant, 39, and David James, 53, allegedly stole them during a supervised visit with the Department of Children and Family Services in Los Angeles, according to ABC 7.
They allegedly snuck the kids out through the emergency exit and left their 15-month-old child behind.
The three children had been living with a foster family since last year after the 15-month-old tested positive for drugs at birth.
Social workers are now worried the family has the capability of living in remote areas as they are ‘nomadic’.
‘They are the type of people that can live off-grid, if that makes sense,’ Nina Glass, the director of Search & Rescue San Antonio, told ABC 7.
‘They like to be out there in the middle of nowhere.
‘They live out of their car. They don’t really have an address.’
California Highway Patrol issued an Amber Alert for the two children last week on behalf of the LA County Sheriff’s Department.
They are believed to be traveling in a ‘brown Buick Enclave SUV with no front plates and blue rear paper plates,’ according to police.
‘There is concern for their well-being,’ the Sheriff’s Department said.
Glass claimed the parents have abducted their children before, with the first incident taking place last summer after their third baby was born.
It took two months to find the missing children. Afterward, the parents were granted visitation rights, according to ABC 7.
Glass encourages the entire nation to keep a lookout for the youngsters.
‘This is not the type of search where you can actually say: “We’re going to go to this location, and we’re going to start searching”,’ she told the outlet.
‘This is more of a nationwide search where everybody needs to be on the lookout for these people.’
