My Mum, Your Dad is set to return to screens for a second series this autumn, and by the looks of things, it’s set to be an emotional one.

The middle-aged dating series will once again put a spin on the traditional dating show as single-parents look for love with the help of their adult children, including some new exciting twists along the way.

And in the first trailer for the ITV show, some of the cast break down in tears as they watch a particularly heartfelt moment between two of the parents.

Meanwhile, things look set to get very steamy as two of the parents indulge in a steamy kiss in the bedroom – much to the horror of their grown-up kids.

With host Davina McCall, 56, back at the helm, she welcomes the parents’ offspring into the country abode, where she declares that it’s up to them who dates who.

And as the dates get underway, things take an emotional turn as mum Jenny breaks down in tears while reliving her relationship past, telling her pal: ‘I’m used to being let down, that’s all.’

The confession causes a moving reaction from her son Malachi, who is seen struggling to hold back tears as he’s comforted by his peers.

Speaking about how this may be her last chance for love, Jenny said ahead of the show: ‘I have exhausted everything, if I couldn’t have got onto My Mum, Your Dad, there was literally nothing left.’

While the trailer also sees one of the mums in tears as she shares a tender hug with another parent.

But it’s not just touching moments that’s to come on the series, as two of the singletons get up close and personal.

The clip sees two people, wearing cowboy hats, kissing passionately, with their silhouettes moving in unison.

Their adult kids are clearly gobsmacked by what they see, with one turning away from the screen, while another hangs their mouth open in shock.

One of the group then exclaims: ‘I did not see that coming!’

With the parents hoping for the second chance in love, they opened up on what they were looking for ahead of the show.

Vicky, who’s daughter Angharad will be watching her exploits, shared: ‘I’ve been having no luck in trying to find someone myself. If there’s a room of people, I always tend to go for the one person I shouldn’t!’

While Danny, on the show with son Ellis, said: ‘I’m hoping to meet someone that likes me. I don’t have to tick boxes. I’m just looking for someone who likes me back.’
