Larry Emdur swore and referenced a part of the female anatomy in a hilarious foul-mouthed victory speech after winning the coveted Gold Logie on Sunday night.
Taking the stage at the Logies ceremony in Sydney, The Morning Show host had the crowd roaring, making light of the number of times his programs have been axed over the years and his wide range of questionable hosting gigs.
‘I just remembered I did say if I won this, I’d get all the nominees initials tattooed on my a**e live tomorrow morning,’ he began, drawing laughter from the audience.
‘Sorry, Sylvie [his wife], I know we had some fancy hotel planned but looks like I’ll be doing squats all night!’.
‘[Sunrise host] Nat Barr is looking at me like, “Baby, I’ve got to get up in 25 minutes”,’ he continued, referencing the nearly six-hour long award ceremony.
‘I love this business so much. I love being in TV, and I’ve never wanted to do anything else.
‘Whether it’s sitting on The Morning Show couch interviewing Lindy Klim, who has invented a new product – a face mask for vulvas; or a 150kg truck driver who has won on The Price Is Right dry humping me; or being the most axed man in television.’
