Whitney Port revealed the high financial cost of her fertility and surrogacy journey.

The mom-of-one, 39, has been open about her struggles to expand her family, which includes three miscarriages and a chemical pregnancy.

After the Hills alum — who shares son Sonny, seven, with husband Tim Rosenman — turned to surrogacy, her surrogate also went on to have two losses of her own.

Now, Port shared that she is doing a whole new round of IVF egg retrieval with a different surrogate on a recent episode of her With Whit podcast, and estimated that the process will end up costing her a staggering $200K.

Port stated that just rematching with a new surrogate costs a hefty $15,000, sharing, ‘Can you even believe that that’s just the charge just to find a new surrogate let alone the surrogacy fees?’

‘This whole thing is probably gonna end up costing us I feel like $200,000,’ she added.

‘I can’t even believe that I’m saying that, but I know that so many people that have followed along have brought up the financial stress that comes with this, and it is real.’

‘Now, listen, I feel very privileged that I’m able to pull out of savings and use that money for it, but it is still our money being spent on something that when you think about it is the one thing that we truly, truly want and worth the money, but just so heartbreaking that it’s something that happens to so many people so easily for free.’

Whitney — who’s previously addressed comments about her weight loss — also discussed feeling anxious about her upcoming egg retrieval.

‘I started to get like a little bit, anxious about this whole like egg retrieval process and not knowing what the plan was because I was basically waiting for my period in order to know what the next month looked like.’

She also shared that she is doing the retrieval with a different doctor in New York City this time around.

‘I was not happy with what happened with my doctors in Los Angeles.’

‘And it’s not to say that they did anything wrong, but my first doctor was a doctor that I was able to get four embryos made out of 21 eggs from that retrieval, and we transferred two of those embryos into a surrogate, and they both miscarried.’

‘So we still have two more embryos from that round on ice, but once we started talking to Dr. Fisher in New York — who Timmy actually grew up with and has helped many of our friends get pregnant — she was like I really think the best bet is to do a whole new round of retrieval, make new embryos, and then try with a new surrogate.’

‘We haven’t found our surrogate yet, we’re in the process of that, that’s like a whole other thing.’

‘It’s so expensive, and when you rematch if you don’t have a note from the doctor that says that you need to rematch, then you have to pay a whole new fee to rematch.’

‘And so right now I’m trying to get a letter from the doctor basically saying why we’re not carrying with that past surrogate.’

‘The two embryos that we put in our last surrogate, we don’t know exactly what was wrong. They were genetically tested, but the surrogate also had some blood clots, so the doctor should be giving a note to us so that we’re able to rematch with a surrogate without another $15,000 charge.’

Whitney also shared why her doctor believes her previous eggs might have been ‘overcooked.’

‘She said that maybe I was given just a little bit too much medication, and the eggs were taken out a little bit late, so that’s why so many of the eggs were kind of quote “overcooked” and we could only make four out of the 21.’

‘So this time around she’ll be monitoring my medication differently and dosing everything differently. Hopefully we will have some healthier embryos.’

‘I mean all we really need is one. Now, would I love a girl? Yes. Do I need a girl? No. I just want a healthy baby.’

She also shared an update on her Instagram on Tuesday, with a snap of herself at the beach in a one-piece blue bathing suit.

‘As I go into my egg retrieval, I wanted to share an honest update about how I’m feeling, and honestly, I’m feeling awful. It’s not the physical discomfort (which totally sucks- bloating, bruising, swelling, heaviness) but the emotional discomfort,’ she wrote in the caption.

‘The hormones are making me feel like I can’t manage anything, like everything is just the worst. And I’m nervous that I’m not going to get out any quality eggs and what will this all be for. I’m scared. My energy is non existent and I feel like I’m not showing up the way I should as a wife, mom, sister, friend, co-worker, etc.’

She went on, ‘My stomach feels up in my throat and I’m on the verge of tears/actual tears all day. The thing is – each day has felt different. Yesterday, 2 days before the retrieval had been the worst, while today feels a bit better.’

‘I’ll be ready to return to gratitude soon, but I am just not there yet with so much up in the air. That may be pessimistic, but I don’t want to force any feelings either. I can’t thank you all enough for your support and words of encouragement.’

She and husband Tim have walked a tortuous path in their bid to add another child to the fold.

The two announced last June that they were weighing the option of surrogacy after Whitney herself miscarried multiple times.
