And reflecting on her journey, Kelly Brook said she feels ‘liberated’ after starring on the hit show.
Kelly and her husband Jeremy Parisi is battling it out against fellow celeb pairings to race 12,500km across South America with a tiny budget and no phones.
But for Kelly, the show has made her more confident in herself as she admitted she can now travel on public transport after years of being paranoid.
She told RadioTimes: ‘I never travelled on public transport because I was paranoid about being recognised, but I got back from the race and went straight on the Tube. I get buses and trains everywhere now and it’s so liberating.’

Kelly said going phone free and living like a local alongside her husband was the highlight of her trip.
She also shared how she overcome being a ‘diva’ and had to completely go out her comfort zone – even if she had to wear ‘unflattering’ clothing, she recalled.

Kelly said: ‘This show came at the right time; I was confident enough to be a bit more open about who I am.
‘Equally, if I wanted an upgrade on an overnight bus, it wasn’t about being a diva, it was about being comfortable! I just feel sorry for Jeremy, because he’s very competitive and didn’t want to spend money.
‘Lots of friends joked about our marriage surviving this kind of test, but we’ve been together for ten years and know each other’s strengths and weaknesses; he was always going to be the calculator while I was the compass.’
She added: ‘Not having my phone was amazing. Going off the beaten track. Living like a local. You can never underestimate the kindness of strangers.’
The second series of the show’s celebrity spin off will feature Ted Lasso stars to iconic TV presenters as they battle it out to reach their final destination without the help of phones or money.
Ted Lasso’s Kola Bokinni and his cousin, Mary Ellen will be competing against TV presenter and broadcaster Jeff Brazier and his son, Freddy, 20.

Radio 2 host Scott Mills and his husband – then fiancé – Sam, will also take on the challenge in the hope to be crowned winners.
Their journey begins in Belém, Northern Brazil – the gateway to the Amazon – and will pass through five checkpoints across the length of South America.
They will do all they can to reach the finish line in the Andes, Frutillar in Southern Chile.
Joining the celebrities will be their nearest and dearest, providing a unique insight into people we thought we knew, through the eyes of those who know them best.
The BAFTA award-winning show, from producers Studio Lambert, will return at 9pm on Wednesday 14th August on BBC One and iPlayer.
