Adam Peaty gushed over his girlfriend Holly Ramsay for the support she has shown him while he has been competing in the Paris Olympics.
The swimmer, 29, spoke about how his ‘brilliant’ girlfriend has been by his side as he claimed its the ‘people behind the athletes’ that make it all work.
Holly, who is the daughter of TV chef Gordon Ramsay, has also apparently been helping to fuel Adam ahead of his Olympic bid with her cooking.
Speaking to Mark Wright on Heart FM, Adam revealed that Holly makes his meals ‘every day’ and has also been feeding the other members of Team GB.
Mark asked him: ‘Your girlfriend is Holly Ramsay, daughter of Gordon Ramsay. How often does she cook your meals for you?’

Answering, Adam said: ‘Everyday. I’ve learned, I actually lost the will to cook but I’ve learned the skill to cook now. Yeah she’s absolutely brilliant. She has the team round, we have team breakfasts.

When asked if she cooks for the whole team, Adam said: ‘: Yeah yeah, and she’s been absolutely just so so brilliant and part of these performances, we always look at these athletes as face value, but it’s the people behind these athletes that really are doing the job and she’s a huge part of it.’
Adam’s interview comes after he joked about his link to Holly’s famous dad Gordon.
While Adam may be best known for his stellar Olympic success, he has revealed one area Gordon can certainly relate to him.
The gold medal-winning swimmer revealed that he suffers from a ‘red mist’ of fury in the minutes leading up to a major race, and has to compose himself before jumping into the pool.
It’s a trait that Gordon can relate to, given the chef is best known for his foul-mouthed TV rants.
In an interview with the BBC ahead of his silver medal-winning race on Sunday, Adam was asked how he prepares for a big race.
He said: ‘If anything, I’m trying to calm myself down because I’m too excited, playlist, stretching [or] thinking of happy moments with Holly, George, my mum and dad.

Sharing a picture which showed the athlete giving her and his son George, three, a hug she wrote: ‘My world. We are so proud of you.’
'So flooding the mind with optimism and hope until 10 minutes before that race and that's when I see red mist and that's when I start to get really angry.'
Gordon agreed that he is no stranger to the 'red mist,' and said that he uses a similar trait to Adam when it comes to venting his anger.
The chef said: 'You've got that determination to outsmart everyone with that comes anger that is misconstrued, how do you vent, because I get it straight off my chest.'
Peaty added: 'I do that but it offends people.'
Adam and Team GB finished fourth in the men's 4x100m medley relay on Sunday evening to narrowly miss out on a medal.
In the final men's swimming event of the games in Paris, Oliver Morgan was tasked with getting his team off to a strong start in an event where the USA and China were expected to vie for gold.
Adam had been struggling with illness missed out on the mixed relay but produced a strong swim following a superb takeover to keep Team GB in the running.

His progress in the breaststroke briefly moved Britain to second after 200m but Duncan Scott and Matthew Williams were unable to keep their team in the medal places as a raucous home crowd willed France into third.
The event went right down to the wire but an incredible finish from Pan Zhanle saw China claim gold with a time of 3:27.46.

The issue heavily overshadowed the build-up to Paris 2024 and appeared to lead to mistrust from several swimmers.
Both Katie Ledecky and Caeleb Dressel expressed their misgivings, with Peaty joining the clamour on the final night of action in the pool as he singled out Qin for criticism.
