Lily Allen is reportedly preparing to join a drama school after the success of performing in West End’s Ghost Story 2.22 and The Pillowman.

The actress and singer, 38, recently jetted across the pond to start a new life with her husband David Harbour and two daughters Ethel, 10, and Marnie, 11, who she shares with ex Sam Cooper.

And now Lily has opened up on what life has been like since living in her Brooklyn townhouse in the United States.

Speaking on podcast Who Are You Dressing For?, with stylist and model Kyle De’Volle, Lily said: ‘I’ve got an audition with a drama school in New York so I’m hoping I can go and study for a bit.

‘The idea of going to drama school excites me.’

Going on to speak about the big move and how she is finding living in the big apple, Lily added: ‘I’ve really enjoyed it.

‘I enjoy the anonymity I have there, I enjoy that for my kids – I’m a mum, I make packed lunches, I take them to school.

‘Then I might write for a couple of hours, read some scripts, go to the gym, and then I pick up the kids and make them dinner and that’s my existence. I really enjoy it.

‘Sometimes my ego needs to be stroked so I jump on a plane and come home to London for a few weeks – then I go, ‘Bored now’, and come home.’

Lily recently put on a public display of unity at a basketball game in New York on Thursday, after being plagued by rumours their marriage is in crisis.

The couple were pictured for the first time since questions arose over their relationship when Lily unfollowed the Stranger Things actor on social media.

But Lily and David looked like they were enjoying spending some quality time together as they sat courtside and watched the Cleveland Cavaliers take on the New York Knicks.

Speculation grew further when Lily hadn’t been pictured with the Netflix star in recent days, with David attending the Thom Browne’s 20th anniversary dinner alone on Monday.

Interesting: Earlier this week, Lily confused fans after unfollowing her husband David on Instagram but he still follows her

However, the couple seemingly brushed off the speculation regarding their marriage as they enjoyed some time off parenting duties to watch the game.

To add further confusion, a week prior to Lily’s unfollowing, the pair celebrated their third wedding anniversary.

Lily shared a photo from their wedding day on Instagram – which is still up on her grid.

She captioned it: ‘3 years with this guy, 2nd best decision I ever made. 1st was that dress.’

The low-key ceremony was officiated by Elvis Presley impersonator and chapel co-owner Brendan Paul.

The couple were first linked in January 2019 when they attended the BAFTA Tea Party together.
