alert-–-giovanni-pernice-‘splits-from his-girlfriend-molly-brown-for-the-second-time-after-they-were-involved-in-heated-rows-following-strictly-abuse-scandal’Alert – Giovanni Pernice ‘SPLITS from his girlfriend Molly Brown for the second time after they were involved in heated rows following Strictly abuse scandal’

Strictly Come Dancing star Giovanni Pernice has reportedly split from his girlfriend Molly Brown for the second time, after a string of heated rows.

The pair rekindled their romance earlier this year after previously dating for three weeks back in February, but have now removed all traces of each other from their social media accounts.

Sources close to the couple told The Mirror that Giovanni has been ‘under a lot of stress’, and there has been a string of arguments between them, after he quit Strictly in May following accusations he bullied celebrity partner Amanda Abbington.

The source said: ‘Giovanni and Molly grew very close, very quickly, after they split up the first time and got back together.

‘Their relationship has been pretty full on. But they have rowed again recently and it all came to a head earlier this week, when they called it quits.

‘Molly has been very supportive of Giovanni, but he has been under a lot of stress lately and that has taken its toll. It is not impossible they will try to give things another go once the dust has settled a little, after all, they have done that before.’

has contacted a representative for Giovanni Pernice for comment.

The Italian dancer originally went Instagram official with the model in February, but revealed just weeks later that they had unfollowed each other.

During their brief split, Molly deleted a snap alongside Giovanni from her grid – and weeks later they rekindled their romance.

Giovanni was suspended from Strictly while a BBC probe is conducted over claims of off-camera misconduct made by Amanda Abbington, 50, and two other former celeb partners. He denies all the claims against him.

Amanda was said to be furious at the revelation becoming public that Giovanni had asked for their rehearsals to be recorded, as revealed in The Mail On Sunday.

Giovanni’s lawyers vowed that he ‘won’t be cancelled’ and will ‘clear his name’ and ‘fully co-operate’ with the BBC’s inquiry.

The under-fire star hired Schillings — a top law company known for defending celebrities – which TV insiders described as a ‘bold move’ after Amanda and two other women instructed rival lawyers at Carter Ruck.

It came after the BBC refused to deny whether Giovanni’s dance partner, Rose Ayling-Ellis, had also made a complaint about his behaviour during the 2021 series – which they won.

In a statement to the Mail, Schillings said: ‘Schillings is engaging with BBC studios to provide it with Giovanni’s evidence being made about him and confirm that Giovanni is fully cooperating with that process.

‘As with any reality TV show, when decisions are being made the producers have a duty of care. Giovanni is fully committed to clearing his name and defending his rep against accusations against him.’

The move, some say, means ‘war’ after Amanda claimed Giovanni left her bruised after stamping on her foot.

Good Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh and presenter Laura Whitmore – also partners of Giovanni – have met with Amanda to discuss their own experiences.

It came just before another dancer on the show Graziano Di Prima, 30, was axed from the series last week over reports he verbally and physically abused his celebrity partner Zara McDermott, 27, during last year’s series.

On Wednesday the scandal deepened after unearthed footage revealed former professional dancer James Jordan telling his partner he would ‘drag her across the floor and scream at her’ if she forgot her moves.

The clip, which was filmed during the fourth series back in 2006, shows him rehearsing with actress Georgina Bouzova.

He also says to her ‘kill you’ as he demands she stands on one leg and insists that unless she has physically broken a rib he doesn’t care what pain she is in. He is also seen throwing a chair across the training studio.

James, who left Strictly in 2012 after appearing on eight series, also banned Georgina, who formerly starred on BBC medical drama Casualty, from eating sweets and chocolate and would only allow her to buy pineapple and ham when they visited a supermarket together.

However James has furiously hit back after the clip from Strictly’s spin-off show It Takes Two resurfaced.

The ballroom dancer and choreographer has slammed the BBC saying most of the footage ‘was not related to Georgina at all’.

Sharing a raging statement on Instagram he said that the footage was ‘edited for entertainment’ and was ‘highly produced and exaggerated’.

He said there ‘is no comparison to be drawn between those awful allegations and the VT’ – while insisting none of his celebrity partners ever complained about him during his eight years on the show.

On Tuesday night it was revealed that a third professional dancer on the show has been named as a ‘person of interest’ in the wake of the abuse and bullying allegations.

There have been accusations of a massive cover-up by the BBC over claims crew members complained about Graziano’s behaviour during the series but no action was taken.

Insiders have told The Sun that it is ‘becoming clear is that there appears to be a more widespread issue over the conduct of some of the professionals in training.’

‘The more people who come forward, the clearer the picture is becoming.’

BBC bosses have since announced they would be introducing ‘additional steps to strengthen welfare and support on the show.

The new measures include a member of the production team being present during training room rehearsals at all times, and increased support for both celebrity contestants and the professional dancers.

A Celebrity Welfare Producer and a Professional Dancer Welfare Producer will both be appointed to fulfil these added duties, and further training will also be delivered for the production team and crew.
