A popular set of pyjamas have been pulled from the shelves of H&M stores across due to safety fears.

The pink and blue Hennes & Mauritz children’s fleece pyjama set with feet do not meet current product safety requirements.

A recall notice issued by Product Safety (PSA) stated the clothing does not contain fire hazard labelling.

‘There is a risk of serious burn injuries if exposed to a heat or flame source,’ the recall notice read.

‘Consumers may not be aware of this hazard’.

The pyjamas, which have several decorative designs, were sold in H&M stores across the country between February 26 and June 14.

Shoppers who purchased the products, have been urged to stop using the clothes immediately.

Customers are advised to return the item to their nearest H&M store for a full refund.

No receipt is required.

H&M is a popular clothing retailer that operates hundreds of stores across the world.

The global fashion company sells a range of brands and designer accessories suitable for men, women and children.
