Marlon Wayans broke his silence about reports that his Los Angeles house was burglarized on Saturday.

In an Instagram post shot in his kitchen on Thursday, the actor and comedian, 51, made it clear that the burglars picked the wrong house to steal from.

‘First and foremost, I’m saying thank you to all the people who checked on me to see if everything was okay when I was burglarized. I want you to know that they really didn’t get much because I don’t own s**t,’ he revealed in the minute-long video.

‘The most valuable thing in my house… is my house,’  he explained. ‘So unless you’re going to put that s**t on a truck and drag it away, then, yeah man, you did well, but I don’t own s**t, he reiterated.

He proceeded to share that he ‘s not flashy, he doesn’t wear jewelry, and doesn’t carry around cash because he uses his credit cards: I’m the wrong n***a to rob. Go down the block, there’s a lot of flashy n***as out there.’

In the caption of the video post, Wayans first addressed his and his family’s well-being, and that they all are okay.

‘God is so Good. Everyone is fine. I’m grateful,’ he began in his social media statement, before adding a message that was directed to anyone thinking of robbing him by opening the message with ‘Dear ROBBERS and OTHERS.’

‘I am the WRONG N***** to ROB. Save your energy. I don’t have anything valuable in my house except MY HOUSE,’ he shared of his financial situation.

‘Sorry, i live a simple life with 2 [cars] and one of them is a 1994 Range Rover, you will need a jumpstart if you steal it cuz the battery is dead,’ he explained, while also using a little humor.

He concluded, ‘Robbers don’t waste your energy or your life doing home invasions, s**t is too heavy!!! You want to carry all that bullshit? Throw your back out, and for what?! I repeat I don’t own s**t valuable. I don’t have a bunch of cash or jewelry. Please pick a better thank you and love you… still.’

The news of the burglary first broke on Thursday when TMZ reported that cops confirmed it was the latest target of burglaries in the area.

The Scary Movie star was not home at the time of the burglary, but his older brother Keenan Ivory Wayans was inside the home sleeping.

He reportedly woke up after hearing some noises but realize what was happening and went back to sleep.

Police said one of Wayans’ staffers returned to the house at eight o’clock the following morning and found the place had been ransacked.

The thieves reportedly took a safe  in the home and around $1000 in cash.

So far, investigators have not made any arrests in connection to the crime, which appears to a part of a growing trend of celebrities who are targeted by burglars in Los Angeles.

The other high-profile people to be victimized of late include Squid Game star Lee Byung-hun, NBA star Paul Pierce, former Clippers player Patrick Patterson and Kyle Richards’ daughter Farrah, among many others in recent times.

Last month alone, the homes of ex-NBA player Patrick Patterson and NBA guard Talen Horton-Tucker were both burglarized.
